Beautiful really friendly staff and top notch breakfast I often don't speak that highly of the weatherspoons breakfast because I've had them in other ones and thier not that great however this one was spot on it looked absolutely amazing and it tasted Amazing too I always ask for things to be freshly cooked in spoons and this really was everything was fantastic quality espically the bacon egg mushrooms and sausages were out of this world
If I was to be picky I'd say that my beans were a tad cold but not unbareable and everything else was piping hot :) I think they got cold on my own fault I take time to eat my breakfast and I just think they got cold on my own fault not the fault of the spoons 😂
All in all fantastic service today also really good prices and friendly staff :) really like this spoons it's a nice relaxed environment and I love the fact that thier is wifi places to charge your phone and enjoy a beautiful cooked breakfast 😉 served by top notch staff

All in all for me this spoons is...
Read moreI've been visiting spoons to play Yu-Gi-Oh on my phone for the last few months due to their refillable coffee being an easy way to stay warm, plus it's price at £1.50 is ideal. I woule not say that the Sun is an ideal spot to lounge for 2.5 hours, but my watch would say different once I finally check it.
The layout of the spoons itself is mediocre, as my problem is finding a table that's suitable for my visit. I ideally would sit on the right side of the pub as it's close to the coffee machine, but these seats aren't always available. I find the seats on the left side have less footfall and are more comfortable , but you need to walk a good 15-20 seconds to get to the machine. There's no second floor or beer garden so everyone is mixed together, which isn't too bad but there aren't any quieter areas of the pub which are more "restaurant" feeling.
Serving time is usually 2 minutes for a drink that's ordered to your table or 7 minutes for food which is fast compared to other spoons I have visited. I have found that there are less people on average eating at The Sun than at other spoons, but I would not say that the quality of the food is lacking in any way.
There are currently renovations going on inside which has made the bar a little noisier during the quieter hours, but it's...
Read moreI'll preface this review by saying me and my mates have been long standing patrons of the sun. It's often a great pub for students like us due to it's affordable prices. However a recent experience has left us frustrated with The Sun. One of my mates was cut off during the night because he was "slurring his words and swaying", this would be fair enough yet.... English is not his first language and so his ability to speak English is not something he should be cut off for. We were informed that the rest of our table would not be served until he left. After some deliberation we agreed it was better if he left so we could continue with our night. So after 20 minutes we returned to the bar and were told that we would still not be served. Bouncers were then sent to our table to force us out. We did try and talk to the staff to explain the situation yet they repeated the same rehearsed line they'd been told by higher ups. We've been in this pub rain or shine (sober or very drunk) and we haven't had any problems, yet this left a sour taste in the mouth. I understand that this review is shouting into the void but I just felt that I had to do something after that...
