With Wacky Kingdom fully booked today, we decided to drop into the leisure centre. The soft play is a decent size although lacking in big slides which are always the main attraction for my girls. That said there were tunnels joining different parts of the setup together which were fun to navigate. All the usual offerings were included too as the photos show. The huge bonus was cost which was only £12 for the girls and both parents. Very good value these days. It was an easy way to kill an hour and the wall art was also impressive and my eldest enjoyed identifying all the characters. @familydadventures

Great recreation center with so many trainer machines in a large room. (Photos not about those.) The temperature of swimming pool is perfect now, but there is a limit of swimmers-number. I am glad to reopened, also for non-vaccinated people. Your car can stay for 4 hours. Ticket for non-members is £5 and any machine can be used, or membership is £40 per 30 days. Include the swim just need a book because of limit. Thanks!

Went here for a birthday party. Well played out. I had never been here before and the staff were friendly and helpful so I could find my way. The only downside were the toilets, only two for two children parties going on at the same time so they were busy at times. But then, as I've never been before, there are probably some more around I just didn't see any signs.

I've only used the gym and the pool so my review is specific only to those facilities.

The pool is a little chilly, as others have said, however it isn't a spa pool, it's a swimming pool, so it's going to be chilly and the point is that you swim to warm up. The pool area and changing rooms are broadly clean, with enough locker space.

The gym is pretty well equipped, but at its busy times you will struggle to find usable machines and equipment. The users aren't very good at replacing equipment so you can spend a while looking around for certain weights. And the rules regarding not taking in coats and bags aren't enforced, so finding mat space, for example, can become difficult and you end up having to shove some strangers bag to the side because you can't find the owner.

Without wanting to sound like I'm young-person-bashing, the after school groups seem to use the gym more as a hang-out, and people of all ages don't seem to have developed the gym etiquette you find in other places regarding being sat on equipment looking at your phone for prolonged periods, denying the equipment to others. The student groups also tend to leave a lot of their belongings scattered in the changing rooms instead of using the lockers which are plentiful.

The staff are very friendly, but it would be preferable if they enforced some of the rules & policies. And as a minor criticism I'd prefer lockers you can padlock instead of needing a £1 coin.

Overall, it's fine if you're not a core-hours user - it would definitely be better if the policies were enforced, but if you're someone trying to do some exercise after work, particularly in term-time, I'd suggest...

I've taken my two sons (9&6yrs) swimming here the last two Sunday afternoons in a row. This week the lifeguard decided that my younger son was a 'non-swimmer' and we were restricted to a very small corner of the pool. Both sons have weekly swim class with pool schools and my younger son is capable of swimming a full width on his front and a full length on his back. Despite this, apparently he is still considered a non-swimmer. It was a humiliating and discouraging experience to be made to stay in one corner of the shallow end and we left shortly after. The previous week was very different, neither of the two lifeguards bothered us and we had a fun and safe swim, building on confidence and skills that are being learnt at swim school. I can only assume from the varying experiences we've had that either the enforcement of this particular 'non-swimmer' rule is discretionary and was poorly applied today or last week my sons life was in danger by being allowed to swim at the deep end for the duration of our hour long visit. The humiliation we were subjected to today was unnecessary and unfortunate, perhaps just down to the lack of experience and poor people skills of the lifeguard. I won't be able to bring my sons here and give them the opportunity to progress their swimming confidence and skills. Fortunately we've not had this trouble at K2 Crawley so well have to get in the...

I am regular user of Donyngs gym and I only have positive things to say.

Since joining I have received welcoming treatment from all of the staff members creating a comfortable environment to work out in. The facilities are well kept and cleaned regularly.

The classes at Donyngs are great and were one of the main reasons I joined. All the trainers are focused on the class and help build confidence, particular mention must go to the morning circuit classes run by Fiona the Health and Fitness Manager who is very encouraging and motivational during a class. Fiona also concentrates on key body areas with a variety of exercises with different levels depending on ability, this ensures everyone is comfortable and able to do the exercise.

Since going to the circuit classes with Fiona and Chris my form and technique has improved due to their guidance and genuine interest in your progression. I have also had an introduction from Chris who has provided me with my own personal plan to achieve my goals. This is all included within my memberships and not extra costs.

Highly recommended gym, number one in...
