ChunkyChicken — Restaurant in Rochdale

The original Chunky Chicken. The staff has changed, prices increased but with this place the quality is consistent. Guess some people think it's a bit overrated but consistency does mean you usually get what you expect.

Chicken/Peri burgers are very nice and of a decent size. The peri burger seems to be fried and grilled something I don't think some people are aware of.

Spicy chicken wings are beautiful.

Their "inferno burger" to me is overrated and hyped up. Just stick with the chicken or peri burger.

Fries I guess are alright but if you'd rather have chips the "International Chippy”/Harvey's is just a micro walk away. Might be a queue though.

Here there are times where it's busy and times where it isn't. So the time you get your order served varies. I guess you can order through the phone to try and get around this.

All in all definitely in (my) the top 5 or even 3 places to eat...

Some food was nice, some not so good. Nice place though and the staff are ok.

Reply to manager- ( probably being a bit unfair there, the staff in general are pretty friendly) Yeah no problem.

The Peri Peri burger was lovely. The chicken wrap was nice. The Butterscotch milkshake was nice. The hot wings I found, being honest boring and pretty tasteless. ( I was hoping they would be much better than the bland ones from KFC but they wasn’t.) The chicken burger (according to my son who knows his burgers) was just ok. I tried all the sauces, didn’t like the chilli at all, didn’t care for the peri Mayo, sweet chilli wasn’t nice. The chips were just chips. That’s an easy improvement just change them!

I’ve given you a 3* as I honestly believe that’s correct. It’s probably more a 3 1/2 star being truthful so it’s hard.

I will happily try again and adjust...

If I can give a 0 I would. Absolute disgrace of customer service. I paid via Uber eats and didn’t get my delivery. When I rang to enquire big man manager Ali said that they were waiting for an Uber driver to come and collect and deliver my order. So I called back after about 15 mins and got told that my order had been cancelled even though the money had left my account, upon questioning they hung up on me. I then rang back, One of his minions answered the call and when I requested to speak to Ali they hung up on me again. So I called again. what I heard in background him say was that “it’s that guy again” (is this how you treat your customers) then was told that he is busy. They hung up on me numerous times, I’ve not eaten all day and was relying on them. I’ve been a customer since they opened. Will never order from them...
