The Middleton Archer — Restaurant in Rochdale

We visited here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The bar staff were very friendly and we were served promptly. There were a fair few in and a decent atmosphere was evident. We ordered food and were delighted when it arrived. The presentation was first class! Fish and chips came in a small 'frying basket', a take on the larger ones seen in chippys. Newspaper was also on show, very authentic and clever. We also ordered cheese and onion pie, which along with the chips, was homemade. There was plenty of tasty cheese and the pastry was well cooked. All the food was hot and lovely and tasty. When we were served the food, we were asked if we would like drinks brought to our table - a great touch, most unusual for an English pub. The meals we chose were £12 for both -fantastic value. Food can be ordered until 6.45 on Fridays, but times vary on other nights. Thursday is steak night and I'm sure that would be worth a visit too. Took well over 1 hour understand everything is completely different and the staff was nice my son dropped his drink they said they couldn't clean it up but when I looked down there was loads off people's finger nail cuttings on the carpet ...chips was so hard but rest off meal was nice, kids meals was fine! on the plus side you have to do track and trace and wear a mask so that's good just think they need to focus on...

Without sounding overdramatic, I can't thank Connor and the team enough- we ended up having to plan a (very) last minute 16th birthday, and during an already busy xmas period, Connor went out of his way to help us out. Food choices were brill, and I've been told everyone had an amazing time. The only bad thing that I can say about it all is that we don't live in the area, so didn't make it down...
