Taste of Raj — Restaurant in Rochford

I went to the taste of raj this week. To sit in and have a meal. The staff are very polite and helpful but that is where it stops!! The restaurant was extremely hot and it was making me feel ill. But the food came I order chicken dansk and a mushroom bhaji. Both dishes very extremely hot!!!! I was struggling to eat it. I have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions and never had this problem before. It must be under new management as I didn't know any of the staff!! The food came really quickly and wee were the only ones in there!! I couldn't finish the meal as I wasn't feeling well. In the middle of the night I started getting aches and pains all over my body. I had excruciating stomach pains. I have had this situation since I went in there. It's now new years eve (my birthday) I have spent to whole day in bed. I now have a extremely upset tummy. Finding it hard to get out of bed. I now believe I have food poisoning. I have never been so ill. It's ruined my birthday plans. I paid cash!!! I will never go here again and I certainly don't...

Ordered on a Saturday night so we expected a little bit of a wait. After 45 mins Deliveroo stated the driver was on the way. 30 minutes later still hadn't arrived. Called the restaurant who didn't even take our name or address to be told they got busy and to wait until it had been 90 minutes.

10 minutes later it arrived, cold, small portions and a curry was missing.

Called the restaurant to be told they are too busy to send it out and will give us something free next time. Fine I have no problem with that. However he hung up very abruptly without taking our name or address.

Luckily we managed to stretch the dinner and claim for missing curry back through Deliveroo.

Absolutely shocking if I could give it 0 points I would. I ordered food at 6:30 said it would be here at 8-8:30 that should have been my first clue to cancel the order. It then said that it was on its way for 45 minutes bearing in mind that it’s 10-15 minutes away. It then said enjoy your food, we had no food. I rang the restaurant up and had to repeat my address 3 times then I get we haven’t got an order. I said yes you have im looking at the app now. I then had to repeat another 5 times where I lived and my name. He said that it will take 20 minutes. The food finally come stone cold I had to through it away.
