Kings Head — Restaurant in Rother

Very disappointing. Went there for lunch with my whole family after reading the favorable reviews and looking at the great menu online. After sitting everyone down we find out they no longer serve any food! The young family on the next table had made the same mistake and quickly left. Hardly what I would call a family friendly pub which is exactly what the sign on the wall says. Complete waste of my time. On the positive side they do have a decent selection of beers. So if you are just wanting a drink...

Outstanding meal with great drinks. An old building with lots of character and atmosphere in a town full of history. The staff where very helpful and friendly. The meals where a little expensive but well worth it for quantity and quality. The pub is on a main road so there is no carpark but there is one near by

The real ale choice was very limited and the Harvey's was not up to standard. It's difficult one, we're in the middle of a pandemic but other places I've visited have done better. The pizza's were excellent. It was just a shame that the two closest tables were both occupied by 4 persons who couldn't finish or start a sentence without using the F word. I presume the servers didn't fancy asking them to quieten it down. It's a lovely pub but needs to sort itself out or customers...
