Would rather go hungry than eat here. Rude staff. A lovely elderly couple sat near us having jacket potatoes they both had walking sticks and clearly limited mobility, they left them to attempt carrying hot drinks out which my dad spotted the guy coming so ran to help him. When I took my daughter to the bathroom the gentleman had walked all the way back up to ask for cutlery which they hadn't bothered to bring out, she dismissively told him was near the tv, he was stood looking confused for a minute so I went and got it for him. Nicely situated. Found staff not really to enthusiastic about keeping customers happy. Didn't sell fish and chips and their on the beach front ? and didn't have ice cream ??? I assume when you go out of season they wind down a bit, its all I can think. Great place to sit and eat with your dog though. Food average, what you'd expect, really nothing fancy. Expensive for what it is but I guess it's because it's on the beach front they take advantage of that, hence the prices. Wouldn't eat there again but definitely worth sitting and having a cuppa outside...

We didn’t have any food because of the reviews I read on here about it not being fresh, by that I thought people meant the fish wasn’t fresh but actually what I saw is that they meant it’s frozen - I witnessed the guy putting frozen breaded food into the fryer. Nice cafe, had a good cup of tea, mother-in-law liked her hot chocolate. Prices okay for a sea side cafe. We ended up having lunch in rye- small town nearby that’s id recommend. Cafe also has a shop that sells inflatables and sea side items. You can also rent wind breaks and other things...
