Great friendly atmosphere, decent sunday roast and comfortable seating. Friendly bar staff. For a very very wet Sunday, this saved the day ! Tip, you might want to book ahead to reserve a table, but unlike the other place we tried who had a week plus waiting list !! The only thing that let the venue down, was the age and condition of the toilets. Mould in there, just odd as the lighting looks very recent, but no ventilation. It's an old building so being right by the sea side, one might expect such. I feel the owners are working their way through the building, and I hope to return one day and pop that last star on. One of the quieter pubs in Bexhill with a reputation for good Sunday lunches, located close to the sea front. Used to be quite friendly, but the odd opinionated "bar-fly" can spoil the otherwise pleasant and fun atmosphere which is a bit of a shame, particularly if you are just looking for somewhere to relax. Like most pubs in the area, it probably struggles to compete with the likes of Wetherspoons and where they had unique beers, 'spoons simply replicates these at much reduced prices.
