My daughter booked this as a surprise for me as she knows I love calzone and this place will do any pizza as a calzone.

We arrived a bit early, but this was no problem. We were seated quickly and the staff were friendly and efficient as they were the whole way through. Cannot fault the service.

Food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Calzone was cooked properly (the folded dough edges can be under cooked if not done properly) and was very enjoyable. My daughter also order pizza and we swapped some and hers was just as good. Highly recommended for pizza.

We wanted to try their gelato - a bit dear at £3 a scoop, but we went for it anyway. It was great to see that they also allowed a few tastes and we were grateful for this as the gelato was very disappointing, especially considering how good the meal was.

I tasted their rum & raisin, a favourite flavour of mine and it was, compared with others I have tasted in the town, quite poor. Barely tasted of anything. Their vanilla was also lacking in flavour. I settled on a flavour that was either cherry or strawberry that was swirled through with some sort of fruit sauce, which is what saved it as without the sauce, it tasted of nothing. My daughter was equally disappointed with the gelato. We both wish we had chosen something else instead of ice cream.

It's unfortunate that their ice cream was as tasteless as it was as the rest of the experience was very good. I'd go back again, but not for ice cream. They claim it is homemade, but our experience of it leads us to doubt this.

Go for pizza - go somewhere else...

Called to make a reservation for myself, my parter and two friends. I booked the table and asked if they made their sauces fresh and the lady on the phone said yes they do, I said back to her 'ahh that's fantastic as I have an allergy to onion so needed to double check for when I order." At this point the lady on the phone said she needed to double check with the chef, when she came back to the phone she stated that the spaghetti pomodoro (basically tomatoes, basil and garlic) contained onion. I asked the lady what she meant as she just told me they make it from fresh so could they not just make my portion without onion. She stated yes they are fresh but made in fresh batches therefore can't make me one fresh on order. I was confused by this as the sauce takes 10 minutes to make (if that).

The waitress did state there was some other things on the menu that does not contain onion but after looking at the menu while on the phone I could really on see maybe steak and chip which feels ridiculous to eat at an Italian restaurant.

After speaking to my partner and friends we canceled our table and decided to eat elsewhere acknowledging the risks of my allergy and feeling that it hadn't been taken very seriously.

The people who answered the both on both occasions (booking and unbooking) were...

Today I was blown away by the exceptional food, service, speed and amazing staff.

I don’t go to eat very often any more as I find most restaurants are phoning it in. Either over priced or poor service and the whack on 12.5% service charge when really it was not justified.

Back to this place. I called at 6pm on a Sunday on the May bank holiday and asked if I could get a table in 20 minutes for 3 adults one child and one baby. We were lucky and they could accommodate us.

Arrived and the table was ready. Asked where we wanted to high chair. I asked them to heat up the baby food. No problem, then the adults couldn’t decide and tenth took the kid order and brought it out. Now anyone who takes a child to a restaurant knows it normally takes an age to get the kid food. Asked for warm milk for the baby, no problem again.

Every single person who looked after us was absolutely fantastic and made our evening enjoyable even though there was a tantruming toddler and unwell 5 year old.

The food was delicious.

It’s so hard to describe the relief of having someone competently look after us.

I highly recommend this restaurant, if you were going on a date it would feel special and you would with...

So my hubs and I tried out this restaurant just over a fortnight ago and the food was perfect. I had their goats cheese and grilled veg salad and it was unbelievably tasty and portions was generous too. The place was also extremely presentable along with clean toilets but the best thing of all was the staff -they were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem for them and they were all with smiles that made you feel welcome and were totally courteous. However, I have to make a special mention of one staff member in particular, Louis. What a star ! With his attitude, he will get through many thangs in life. He made us feel like we were the only ones there and no matter what we asked him ( and how often!) he was there to serve and with a smile. Picasso Express- make sure you look after him because he is great for your business. He understands customer service like I've never seen before. I can't wait to visit Bexhill again, purely to come back to PE.

Chose Picassos to celebrate my husbands surprise 50th birthday meal. I was able to drop his cake down and balloons to go on the table beforehand. Food was great. Everyone enjoyed their starters and main. Cocktails including an Italian slammer were lovely. I had a prawn pasta for main which was very tasty. We had the Lauren looking after our table. She was great. A real asset to Picassos. Everything timed well with food, attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Plus making sure the cake came out at the right time. 😁 No hassle at the end of the night sorting the bill out as a table of 11. Didn’t get many photos of the food as too busy enjoying the meal.
