Authentic and Fresh Sushi Restaurant in a Beautiful Town

Rye Sushi is a brand new addition to the amazing Rye, offering fresh, vibrant and great tasting sushi. As a great advocate for Japanese food and Japanese culture, Rye sushi is a great place to go to enjoy Sushi and have a drink with family and friends.

Service is flawless, Adam and his team is a kind and outgoing individual who provides great hospitality.

Food quality is top notch, with fresh sashimi, and great selection of Japanese sushi options from Sushi rolls, Sashimi, Ramen and Katsu’s options there is plenty of options for all, what I like about Rye Sushi is that it’s hard to find good tasting sushi especially in the UK and East Sussex, Rye Sushi provides not only great service but really authentic Japanese sushi, which I would say is on par with the real deal if you were in Japan, the rice and seaweed is the most important part for a make or break sushi restaurant and it is cooked perfectly here, there are good platter selections which I highly suggest to order.

Prices are fair, for what you get, it is sushi so expect what to pay. The quality is there so it is a great choice for a meal out in Rye.

Popped in here for an impromptu thursday night treat with my wife, 6yr old and mother in law, what a great little place, simply decorated and comfortable, laid out for about 8 tables if I recall, we were there for the sushi but the grill-at-the-table options looked good too.

Front of house chap was very welcoming and friendly, attentive without being too much so. The food was fabtastic, the sushimi super fresh and everything else just bang on point!

Wine list was reasonable and the over-all experience was very nice. I only put 4 stars on the atmosphere as it was a quiet thursday night, but I imagine when busy it's a buzzing little place.

my M-I-L isn't the most able of walkers and struggled with the entrance step a little, so sadly I think wheelchair users would really struggle to gain access, don't avoid the place on that note though, They were very accomodating and they may have an answer for the apparent barrier to access.
