The only downside to the beauty of Rye is their unwelcoming attitude to anyone with a dog.
Strange when the UK is supposed to be a nation of dog lovers.

Honestly, if you see a review here from someone who describes the view at the top of the bell tower, remember that they were weak enough to pay the five pound toll and disregard.
And mind you, that's five pounds after you walk by the Official Rye Church Tat Stall, where you can buy an Official Rye Church Key Ring.
Why is there someone trying to sell me something everywhere I go? Can I not escape this visiting a church? Apparently not. Lovely church ruined by Christians (what's new?).
