One of the best bars I've ever visited. Everything was great - service, atmosphere, staff, cocktails, music.... Sadly, we didn't try the food but I'm sure food is great at this place too... We passed by this place by accident as we were just exploring Rye after a nice, sunny and hot day at the beach. The music that we heard outside was what pulled us in. Despite us being underdressed, the staff treated us as every customer (where you often would find in other places that they look down own you as if you don't belong to the place). In this bar staff is very polite and very welcoming, makes you really feel like you're chilling at home or at your friends place and the live music was a cherry on the cake. Strongly recommend this place if you're around Rye! We are definitely returning here and now it makes me to come to Rye more often.

We visited on a Thursday evening around 6:30 pm. Although the bar was fairly quiet when we arrived, it started to get busier as we were leaving around 7 pm. The venue offers table service only, which I found to be a nice touch. Our server was polite and attentive, always willing to help. We ordered a French 75 and a Classic Champagne Cocktail. Both drinks were good, but at £13.75 each, they felt a bit pricey given their simplicity. It's worth noting that live music starts later in the evening and is available every night—something to keep in mind if you're after a more lively atmosphere or looking for something fun to do. Overall, if you're staying in Rye, this is a lovely spot—slightly eclectic inside—for a relaxed drink to end the evening or to enjoy an atmospheric cocktail before dinner.

Well this is an absolute gem of a place to visit. The atmosphere is super relaxed, the staff are very helpful and the food and drinks where outstanding. The pianist that was performing was very entertaining and I liked that he was open to try requests! Very skilled! Best of all though, this place allows dogs!! My girl Cleo was very pleased with this 🐾🧡

Now this is a must if you're ever in Rye for the evening. We went 2 nights in a row, both with different live musicians. The first night, a lovely chap named Steve playing the piano, chatting with the customers around him, taking requests and putting his own spin on things. It really made our night and the end of our 3rd wedding anniversary rather nice. He even did a few, guess this song with a few notes and all around were getting involved. On to other things, the table only service operated with a push of button on your table was rather poor on the first night and took a rather long time for them to take our order, it wasn't exactly packed and orders coming in from every direction. They were just a bit slow but Steve was keeping everyone distracted with his whit and his music. We stayed until Steve finished his set and lots of demands for him to stay and keep playing but unfortunately all good things must come to an end. We enjoyed our night so much that we went back the next and our final night, a different musician playing the guitar this time, I'm unsure of how you spell his name, so don't wanna make a mistake. He seemed like a nice chap too, chatting to the audience but didn't really take requests and no "games" like Steve had done. The service the second night was far better, with staff constantly floating around, topping up wine and quickly taking drink orders and it was much busier that night compared to the last but different team running the floor. Both nights were great, with different vibes. We were lucky on both nights and got two chairs right next to the action. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back. There is a lot of wine to choose from and we drank our fair share, unfortunately the music stole the show and I can't remember a single wine we drank, they were all enjoyable from...

Very disappointed. Checked the website, which clearly stated no bookings. But when we turned up, it was 'fully booked ' but they put us on the 'emergency table'. After about 20 minutes we were moved to another 'more comfortable' table just as another couple replaced us at the emergency table. When I pointed out that the new table was reserved about 40 minutes ahead, we were told 'no problem, we'll sort it out so that you can stay for the evening'. No surprise, we were then turfed out 20 minutes later when the reservees arrived early. If they are full, fine. If they told us 'time for a quick one, but we need the table in 40 minutes' also fine. But to say that they will find us a place for the evening, then kick us out? Not acceptable. 'come in tomorrow and we'll give you a nice drink' also very poor. Take something off today's bill! Unlikely to return, which is a shame. So easily avoided. Poor service...
