The Windmill Inn — Restaurant in Rugby

I think this place used to be called the tavern. 20 years ago I could be found playing pool at the back of this little pub. It used to have the bar through the middle splitting seating into two areas and making service a little haphazard. The place has been beautifully redecorated and slightly modernised with the bar moved to the wall to create one large area. My first ever visit (2/23) to this pub with a couple of friends. A bit disappointing tbh. The range of beers was not as good as other real ale pubs, with several pale ales but only one true bitter - which was unavailable anyway (new barrel). It also took the barmaid a long time to serve us despite the place not being that busy. In addition they had run out of their limited food offering (filled rolls) by 1.00. Today was the worst ever I came across to see my drink was disappeared and the pub claimed did not see, and refused to provide any alternative. It was disappointing, disgraceful, shameful and disgusting thing to do with a regular customer. I have never seen any pub in the whole England, UK and world did stupid and awful act of cheapness, uncivilised and backward behaviour, of this nature. They deserve the worst rating for what they...
