Ordered food at 18:50, Deliveroo advertised 35-minutes delivery time. At 20:20 we called the restaurant to be told something about a delivery driver and “waiting for naan to cook”. Man on the phone said he would deliver it himself and it would arrive in “10-15minutes”. At 20:50 we called again, to be told “I didn’t say it would arrive in 10-minutes” but again promised it would be arriving soon. At 21:10 we had a missed call and tried to ring back but they said they didn’t mean to call us. At 21:20 I called one final time and asked to cancel the order and a full refund as I was now going to have to cook something else. Magically it arrived. Restaurant said we did not have to pay due to food taking 2.5 hours to arrive. Deliveroo are refusing to refund as “we don’t manage the delivery for this restaurant” - disgusting customer service all round. Order 3-5 working days in advance if you want any chance of receiving your food on time. Frustratingly, the food is nice (from the cold but I tasted) but everything else is...
Read moreI've discovered a true gem in Nottingham! Korma Sutra offers that clearly comes from recipes passed down through generations and family - one of the best I have found in UK. The homely atmosphere immediately transported me to Punjab, India - something I've always yearned to experience.
The starters deserve special mention - absolutely unbelievable! I returned multiple times during my stay to sample different options. The prawn starter and tandoor platter were standouts - both succulent and bursting with flavor.
Their biryani is absolutely extraordinary - unlike any other I've tasted before. It's clearly made from a cherished home recipe that sets it apart from commercial versions elsewhere.
What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional hospitality. The staff made me feel like a welcomed guest in someone's home rather than just another customer.
If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine in an atmosphere that feels like dining in a Punjabi household, Korma Sutra is an absolute...

So... we eat out/order in A LOT. We have tried the majority of Indian places in the area and can honestly say that this was the best. By a long way.
In our order we enjoyed: Paneer Massala - the sauce was mild and it was really flavourful. Korma Sutra Bhuna - WOW. Medium spice, this dish came with tender lamb pieces and was our firm favourite.
At £9, Jumbo Jhinga feels a little expensive, but you do ordinarily get two truly Jumbo prawns!
Neither of the sauces were greasy, which was a welcome break from our previous orders from other outlets.
Keema naan and poppadoms came already halved - nice touch! For once, my girlfriend did not end up with a larger half. This place is our firm new favourite.
P.S. The owner does care about the customer experiences, and we have been served plenty of good customer service along...
