Hello, I am here to discuss my previous complaint in more detail. Last Friday me and my flatmate ordered food. We double checked that all information was put in correctly, which it was and we have screenshots of. At the correct time my flatmate stood outside to see where the food was, we waited for a while and then when no phone was rang, we came back in assuming weād have to wait longer for preparation. When we eventually called we were told the following, that the food had arrived and weād put in the wrong street, not possible it said the correct street, we live in a square complex on that street and were waiting outside the complex, there is no other house with that number on the street, so it is only possible to be on the same part of the street as ours. We also have screenshots that no phone calls came through what so ever despite double checking the right number had been put in. There is obviously a fault with a system there or some miscommunication as both donāt feel at fault. When we were rejected a refund even when taking it up with food hub we were disheartened by the services as we genuinely felt no error on our part, or in reflection yours. My flatmate felt disheartened by the manner the call was handled, with laughing and a slight patronising tone. We are aware it was late and you were shutting down for the night but being left with no food despite again not receiving any calls with the correct numbers and information input as well as a rejection of Ā£28 refund when both of us are students was frustrating as you can imagine. I decided to call up and complain seeing as it cost me over Ā£18. The person who I spoke to, I believe to be Andrea Cotton but they refused to give me their name. A quick google search and I came across a story by Thisisnottingham where someone had vandalised their chip shop and there is a picture of her and her husband stood in front of the shop looking disgruntled. When I informed Andrea about the insect in my food she immediately became very defensive. She tried to brush it off like it was nothing saying things likeāitās only natureā. She offered me more food but I couldnāt eat now due to feeling sick so I asked for a refund. Andrea informed me that they donāt give refunds so I asked her name and she refused. Then I asked to speak to the manager and she told me she was the manager. I wasnāt getting anywhere with her so I told her Iād write a poor review which she replied āIāll just get it taken downā and then she hung up on me. When I called back I spoke with a male who said his name was Kirk? He accused me of possibly planting the insect in my own food which I couldnāt believe and seemed very unconcerned. I was trying to get a refund for only one of the meals which would have amounted to probably Ā£8-Ā£9 so his theory of me planting the insect in my own food was ridiculous. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was utterly appalling from the moment the order as placed. Ordered well before 7pm, website said 25 minutes for delivery, food ordered, immediately rose to 1 hour delivery time, food not delivered until almost 9.40pm, almost 3 hour for fish and chips.
Phoned to complain, phone was not being answered, it had been taken off the hook so the owner didn't have to deal with the angry customers whose food was hours late I can only surmise.
When the delivery driver was asked why the food was so late, she said that the owner was refusing to stop taking orders despite having too many orders to deal with and almost every house she had been to had been really late and the customers were almost exclusively not happy.
I would never order from here again as there was no redemption with the food, the order was wrong and the food was getting towards cold. I will be asking...
