Royal Oak Radcliffe — Restaurant in Rushcliffe

Posted on behalf of my sister. I've visited the Royal Oak before and have been happy with the food, customer service etc. However I was extremely disappointed to hear what my sister had to say. My sister had travelled all the way from Alaska to spend some time with our terminally ill father. Last Friday she took Dad to the Royal Oak, ordered drinks and food, within 5 minutes my father became unwell and had to leave. My sister asked for a refund for the food not the drinks, the food hadn't been served, she was promptly told no refund the order has gone through! This place is a joke, we visited a few months back to eat at secret burger club, took a friend and our 1 year old in the pushchair asleep, we got a pint and food and was very rudely told to leave on the spot by management because we had a child with us past a certain time. Wouldn’t have minded if those were the rules and were asked politely. Coming back from Lincoln we decided to go through Radciffe on Trent to have something to eat. To be honest it was the first venue we saw from the way we entered Radcliffe as we had not been through this area before.
