Sunday dinner arrives, you look down and you think your eating at Sat Bains (without any resemblance of taste) then you look up and realise your in Bingham. If your hungry and expecting a traditional Sunday dinner don’t bother. The vegetables accompanied was in a average soup bowl and was expected to be shared between five people. Genuinely I feed my dog more and you would get a better meal out of a pint of Guinness. You just have to look at the mash to see what I mean. Service however, was good real shame the Sunday food doesn’t match.

The perfect stay. Nice and fun staff make you feel right at home. Pub downstairs and great little rooms upstairs. The rooms have great decor, the beds are comfy and the water pressure in the shower is awesome. They pack your fridge with a yummy continental breakfast (croissant with cheese, small chocolate croissant, oat bar, orange juice, shortbread and everything for tea). Book direct with them. It's a family owned business and I'm sure it would help them out. Explore the neighborhood for cute shops.

Went for afternoon tea for Mothers day. Lovely selection of food although would have preferred a bit more savory and a little less sweet. Staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Lovely afternoon for 4 generations to gather 😊

Stayed 3 nights. The welcome was very poor as we had travelled over 5 hrs on a sunday and arrived at 8pm just as they were closing. We entered the bar with an abrupt " we closed " instead of a how can i help. Once we said we have rooms she was like oh ok. We asked if we could grab a drink as the drive was very long and we were thirsty but refused as she had taken the tills off, asked if it could be charged to the room this was also told no. We said we are very tired and desperate for a drink and the lady just said there " there are other pubs around". Not being from this area ... no directions were given. Rooms lovely and the decor beautiful but no double glazed windows so extremely noisy at night and when buses pass the beds rumbles. The breakfast hamper was not really great . The bananas look far to green and the pastry option was so small and always a sweet variety... shame not croissants instead as not everyone like sweat sugar food in the mornings. Also the previous days breakfast board was not cleared so ended up using all surface space with multiple breakfast boards that get brought in daily. The rooms were so hot the complementary fudge had melted in to a pile of mush. The towels and shower was lovely and powerful. On the tea tray not a great variety of offerings . I had to use the same cups for 3 nights as no clean ones given daily. Once i had used the 2 coffee bags the brown sugar and the milks on the first night stay as we couldn't get drinks when we arrived (and i love my coffee) , they were never replenished. Luckily a freind was also staying in the other room so she gave me hers... but this should not be something i needed to do. The restaurant look great. The food was delicious on the 2nd night but on the 3rd night the food lack taste and value for money. The Duck salad had 3 wafer thin tiny slices and lacked flavour.. i actually thought it was beef !! Also the vodka infused salmon was not great and the beetroot cream part tasted like beetroot mixed with canned squirty cream. The walk from the bar to the restaurant passes the toilets right next to the restaurant and the smell of mens urinals hits you in the face. I must admit when we first arrive it look amazing but all the other things stated let it down sadly. My 3 rating is really based on the decor...

As a family in Bingham we have been very interested to see what the Wheatsheaf was going to offer as we have felt for a long time now that there is definitely scope for something a little elevated to Weatherspoons without being too hard hitting on the wallet. We came back from holiday last weekend full of anticipation as we knew we'd give it a go that Sunday. The welcome was, well let's say not exactly welcoming, the house red wine was poor but we wanted to eat and really see what the pub was all about. After being shown to our table another family came in who had also booked but unfortunately their table was not large enough for their party, we were approached at this point and asked if we had booked a table. Yes we had, it was the one we'd been shown to only a few minutes ago. We were unable to order drinks from the table and had to walk through the pub to order and carry our drinks back. We ordered our food hoping things would improve, sorry to say the food was below average. The prices of the food was ok but the beef was very tough, the sausages were terrible, what's wrong with the butchers down the road?, and the sticky toffee pudding was burnt. We did manage to bag the one and only high chair, glad we only have one toddler. Overall there is no leadership, poor food, poor wine, I'm being picky now but the tshirts the staff wear are a bit scruffy. We hoped we'd have somewhere nice to take the family on a Sunday, take my fiancé for date night and enjoy a drink from time to time. Disappointed to say Weatherspoons will continue to get our business and we'll have to go further to enjoy a higher end Sunday roast / date night. Sorry guys but we were not impressed at all.

My partner and I decided to give it another go tonight as we have had some good reports from people regarding the food. I have to say tonight was a much better experience. The staff were really good, helpful, friendly and knowledgable. The food was so much better than before. There is. No doubt we will be coming again as we had a very nice meal in a very pleasant atmosphere. I thought it was only fair to give a more positive review after my last one. A huge improvement, things...

Visited on a Tuesday evening, there was one other table in and they were already eating. We were waiting for a friend that was late so we were the ones to initially delay our order. We had to ask for our drinks order to be taken, when it was taken it took over 15 minutes for it to arrive. When the other guest arrived we ordered, we found that the menu was poor for vegetarians and there were no vegan options, the waitress did not know what was in the dishes and had to keep going back to the kitchen to ask. We ordered the Goats Cheese Tart and a Five Bean burger. This took over 40 minuets to come to us, on a very quiet night. When it arrived the Five Bean Burger looked great and plenty on the plate, however the tart was not a tart, it was filo pastry with goats cheese on it, not even a handful of salad and cold crushed new potatoes. Do not get me wrong it was all nice, nothing special just nice, the tart was something you would make at home and nothing tasking, there was not enough food on the plate compared to the burger option seeing as they were the same price bar 50p, and we were both still hungry after eating. The service was poor, even though we delayed the initial ordering due to waiting for our friend, they were not attentive. We asked for the bill 3 times and it eventually came 30 mins later. Also the hilarity or finding a spider in the bin in the restaurant and another member of staff throwing it over our heads was not professional. As another review stated we were all very much looking forward to having a new venue in Bingham especially with outdoor seating and what looked like a good menu. Will not return to eat there in a hurry and I would suggest staff training is a must and menu knowledge. It is simple things that make a visit enjoyable. I...
