Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in Rushmoor

I stopped by on a Friday which just happened to be the 13th of October

(maybe that was the issue, but the place seemed deserted)

One elderly fella was finishing up his coffee and cake and I hadn’t eaten since the day before so I ordered the “Ultimate Fish & Chips”… and to be fair it arrived heck of a lot faster than I had envisaged.

Have to say the fish looked the part, but the chips were horrible sticks of hardness and the peas tasteless and watery. I mean ‘What the Fudge happened here??’

I know the fish and Chips used to be £4.99 and they were more than acceptable for the price, but when a supermarket ‘chooses’ to increase the price by nearly 50% and also throws in the word ‘Ultimate’ then expectations seem to increase and have to say the excitement takes ahold (it has to… right?)

The meal comes with ‘one’ small complimentary sachet of the sauce of your choice and additional packets are available at 10p… what’s that all about?

(My suggestion is buy a bottle of whatever sauce you fancy in the store before sitting down to enjoy any meal, trust me it’s cheaper.)

Anyway have to rate the food at a lukewarm 6 out of 10….

Ordered a breakfast on Just Eat, and the order was excepted immediately. Waited over an hour and a half for a status update, that never changed. Tried calling the store, and selected the option to speak to a member of staff, and was redirected to an automated message saying to use their online customer service or call their head office customer service, then the call disconnected from their end. My first visit to this cafe and had such a lovely time here. The staff were so helpful in assisting me with my order as it was my first time. They made sure I got the best deal for my daughter and I (kids eat free). They even gave her a balloon, which she absolutely loved!
