So let start with the positive- the Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was nice (and hot) when it finally arrived.
However Nandos as a company need to decide where they priority lie - and if they want to continue with Eating in, Click and Collect and deliveroo/just eat etc then they need to provide more kitchen staff and bigger kitchens to cope with the demand. I feel the 'restaurant sized' kitchens and therefore the amount of chefs they can fit in to it are now being asked, not to just cater for a full restaurant, but also multiple Click and Collect and deliveroo/just eat orders and they do not have the capacity to cope.
We arrived to be told there was a 20 minute wait for a table - this is fine, there were empty tables available but we were told the kitchen was too busy and they wanted to give them time to get back on track. I dread to think what it was like at that time. We got a table and went to order food on the app, after picking and adding, logging in - this is when we found out the app doesn't accept gift card etc - so up to the counter we go!
40 MINUTES later we get our food.....we were off to the cinema and literally had 15 minutes before the actual film started (not the trailers the main event)
The kitchen was busy all the time we were sat there - the restaurant wasn't full but a constant flow of Click and Collect and deliveroo/just eat were coming in.
We won't be going back again unless we have about 2 hours to spare.

Read moreNandos do chicken well and we all know that! However when I visited my medium pita was terrible! The pita was hard, and chicken dry and as bone. Attempted to get the servers attention serval times, end up going to the counter and waited in the queue to complain, despite staff seeing my holding a plate of food and looking around no one recognised that I may have an issue. When I did eventually get to the counter, it seemed to me like it was to much like hard work to cook another fresh pita .... and alot of staff were discussing it and even touching the food with fingers 👉 👈 before agreeing to another plate. I noticed the problem straightaway whilst waiting, the food was being cooked and left waiting! I wasn't the only one that evening with an issue, I saw another customer complaining 😒... for the price and plate size I would expect better and rightly so. The 2nd pita was cooked fresh and came fairly quickly. One thing I would like management to take note of is.... an apology goes a long way, saying "sorry for the inconvenience" should be the 1st thing to say to a customer not poke the food and have a...
Read moreVisited last night with my family. Cashier undercharged for our meal and a few minutes later when the mistake was realised, she hastily ran after me and asked for my card again. I allowed a second charge and today learned I was overcharged - a pound. Just one. After a phone call to the supervisor on duty and subsequent follow up call after she consulted with the store manager, I was told I'd get my £1 refunded. No real apology to speak of, just very matter of fact. When I asked if that was the best she could do, considering the waste of time and (albeit slight) hassle this caused, I was asked "what did you expect, I thought you just wanted your pound." Oh I don't know maybe a nice gesture like a stupid voucher for an appetiser, or drink, maybe a sincere apology call from the actual manager. Something. I suppose that's the difference between Nando's customer service and other establishments. Next time I'll know not to ever expect much from Nando's and I won't be disappointed. And I'll be sure to check my receipt. Thanks for the mediocre service Nandos Aldershot. I'll be sure to share my experience...
