I have been to Boundary Stone before a few years back. Remembered it being very pleasant, but the menu seemed better this time round. They have built out a bit too - not just indoors near the pub, but an outdoor airier section with a poole table. This was a roudy place being a Friday night so we found a table indoors. Very cosy. Although they warned us there was a delay on food orders of up to 45 minutes, the delay was well worth the taste of the food. We each ordered different things - chicken tikka with rice, papadom and naan bread; battered fish chips and mushy peas; vegan dish and more. And we also ordered desserts. My word - the desserts can make a meal in themselves! It was a busy night indeed, but we enjoyed their food very much. Would go back

For the first time in many years revisited for a funeral wake and the place has changed somewhat. Like so many other venues in this day and age it tries to be more than just a pub. So there's TV's on literally every wall, a 'workers' bar area and covered outside seating area which, in fairness, I thought was very good. Fake grass on the floor but plenty of heaters keeping the space warm and cosy. I have to say the buffet food that was served was excellent. It may be sometime before I go back but would suggest you give a try yourself.

Some of my members from my Saturday morning Slimming World group at Astley Pensioners Centre organised a walk 🚶‍♀️down the canal to Worsley and back through Worsley woods, this was 25th July... it was a warm one ☀️.. we had done around 9 miles and I think we deserved refreshments 🧋.. very pleasant sat in the open roofed, open windowed extension

From the outside the place would not be somewhere I would automatically go in to, but looks can be deceiving. My daughter and I went as I was taking her out for a treat for lunch; a girly time just us two. Our table was booked and waiting for us. We sat down and chose our food, afters included. I went to the bar and ordered. After about 30 minutes the mains arrived. Both were very good, except mine had french fries and my daughters had chips; should have been the other way round. We sorted that out ourselves. We finished our mains and our desserts were brought out; jam cake and custard for me and banoffee tart and ice cream for my daughter. She took one small bite of Banoffee tart and realised the base contained nuts. She checked the menu and nowhere did it mention that it may contain nuts. The Stone Boundary needs to update its menu to put signs on items containing known allergens which I thought they had to. Too late when someone died from...

Looks wise its lovely and rhe staff are really nice but the food wasn't great. We had christmas dinner here and the wrong starters were brought out and the prawns weren't completely defrosted. The mains were worse! No roast potatoes on one meal and only two small ones on the others. The turkey was full of veins and would of been nice despite this as it wasn't dry at all. The best bit was the deserts!! They were to die for and could not be faulted. They made up for the reat of the meal.

Felt really sorry for the waitress as she had to deal with the complaints and took the flack even though it wasnt her fault. She rectified any complaints we had and was really professional throughout the meal. She was only a young girl but a credit to The Boundary Stone.

Would I go back? Yes, as it was a very busy evening and I wouldn't just write a place off after one night as everywhere has an off day especially at a really busy period...

Four adults and three children were seated at a spacious table which was ideal for our needs. We qualified for the kids eat for a £1 which was a great offer. Great menu choices. The food was delicious and tasty , however we waited for an hour which wasn’t a problem for the adults but was a long time for the children ( we had some bananas and biscuits to entertain during the wait so it wasn’t a huge problem. Also there were no crayons for the kids to colour in their menus ( again one of us had brought some so it was resolved) just small points to note that would make a huge difference. Overall though a lovely afternoon, delicious pub grub and efficient and friendly staff, we will definitely return ( and a friend who has lived nearby for 4 years has never been and commented that she would definitely be back with her partner and daughter) so you have gained...
