Royal Oak — Restaurant in Salford

Went to a elvis tribute evening which was very good. Unfortunately the evening was ruined by rude staff and very drunk customers. I was accused of bringing a bottle into the pub by the manager. I stated I had purchased it at the bar. Was told she had spoken to staff and they did not sell that type of beer. Strange she would not even know what they sell. After a trip with her to the bar it was pointed out that there was the beer in her chiller cabinet. A bit later there a number of very drunk people who should not have been served. One of them fell against a woman stood by the bar as he made his was to the toilet. Fortunately she managed to stay on her feet but was upset by the incident. When he came back he was just as unsteady on his feet and a friend of mine who is sia trained managed to prevent him staggering into another woman who was pregnant. Not a very good impression of this venue at all we not...

Very nice welcome ie bar staff, pub goes back many many years for myself and family, altho I don't live in the area was a nice visit bk..... The Landlady who was very nice served us 2 dishes off nibbles which was handed out with must have been her Grandson how cute, will definitely be calling again on my next sleepover at my sister's,, the lounge area was pre decorated 4 St Pats, very cosy.... Ps they serve cracking pies.... Sale...

Couldn't recommend this place and the owners more. Known the owners for years and always used to go in with my uncle whenever I visited. My uncle passed away recently and the were so kind and generous to hold the wake there for him and celebrate him. The pub as a whole is amazing, food and drinks are great as well as the very happy and friendly atmosphere. Recommend the pub...
