MaltDog Monton — Restaurant in Salford

My favourite place to go for a drink in Monton. Really good selection of beer including from local breweries, and available in 2/3rds. I only tend to drink beer here but they also have wine, fizz and a good range of whisky and gin and I love an aperol here in the summer!

Dan is doing an awesome job, always makes you feel so welcome even if you’ve never been in before you will feel like you’ve been going for years. The staff are great friendly and willing to chat about the beer and recommend if you’re not sure what to have. Open mic every fortnight is ace and we’ve been to a gin tasting event which was great fun. The malt dog, is one of the best if not the best beer caves in monton, it has a brilliant open mic night run by the self proclaimed “papa flamingo” who dazzles and entertains like no other once a month, and that Dolan fellas not to bad either on the alternate one, the bar is staffed by “swoosh girl” recognisable by her camel like eyelashes and is nothing but a delight and makes the experience of drinking exotic beers just that more delectable, it’s eclectic music which I can only describe as analog jellyfish metal makes it a experience one can’t miss out on when venturing to the area! 10/10 would...

Recently had a leaving do here and it was brilliant. Dan was really responsive to my initial enquiry and all my questions in the lead up to the event. We used the space upstairs and it was a great for around 15-20 people. I preordered some welcome drinks and they were all laid out waiting for us as requested. When I arrived, the staff member at the bar was expecting me and gave us a really warm welcome. They were really helpful throughout and we were allowed to bring our own decorations.
