Came here for dinner. First thing to say is that they donāt serve any alcohol. But you alcoholics out there donāt despair as you are allowed to bring your own booze! Thatās a win in my book. Now to the important stuff the atmosphere was average. We came on a busy Friday night so it was a bit noisy. So if you want to came here for a romantic dinner then probably best avoid a Friday. Popodams were amazing and the sauces that came with it was plentiful and equally good! We ordered the sheek kebab which was mildly spiced and tasted fresh. The chicken tandoori starter was only average it was a bit bland and the tandoor was not spicy! Next for the main we ordered their special chicken sylheti and family nan. I have to say this was not in any way special. It was stated as super spicy but it wasnāt. The man bread was too thick we had to return it. But they did change this and the next nan bread that arrived was as it was supposed to be thin, crispy on the outside and slightly soft in the centre. Oddly they give hot hand towels with cut lemons. What am I supposed to do with the lemons? Maybe could do some tequila shots if they served alcohol. So should you try it, consider it or avoid it? My recommendation:...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ate here with my brother for an evening meal in early January and had a great experience.
The restaurant itself is well situated on the main road in Moston. They were busy when we walked in but shown to our table promptly which I booked beforehand by phone.
The restaurant is well decorated inside and cleanliness was of a good standard.
We ordered a few poppadoms and had a mixed grill and a selection of vegetarian dishes to share aswell as a garlic naan and a Peshwari Naan.
The food itself was great and as to be expected in any good Indian restaurant. Service was great and the wait was perfectly fine for such a busy evening.
It was noisy inside but this was mainly due to being situated near a large table of 12 people.
It was quite cold inside the restaurant for my liking, apart from this was a great experience.
Toilets were clean and decorated well. But they were up some rather steep stairs so be careful on the way up.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to visiting again next time I'm nearby. It's a good place for anyone who fancies an Indian meal in the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad The Naz once before and thought it was lovely. Decided to order last night, went online and massive banner ā15% off dine in and take out Thurs-Sunā . Placed order online, gave 10%. Rang the restaurant to place order over the phone and his attitude was appalling. He said only applies to dining in, so after further challenging he decides itās ok for takeaway too but must make the order online. Despite us just telling him the discount is wrong online. He was hesitant to take the order over the phone (why?), answered another call whilst on the phone to us, then took the order. Collected it. He tried to charge us a completely different amount to what it should have been.
The food was ok and if the service was excellent we wouldnāt even comment on the fact that the chicken korma tasted like dishwater and the veg samosas were all pastry - no filling. Credit where credit is due though - the butter chicken and prawn pathia were nice. Will not return and will travel the extra miles to go back to my old local Indian restaurant- the INDIAN PLAZA in Audenshaw (this place could...
