If you want a quiet night out or a romantic cozy place for an intimate meal.....forget it ! This place is buzzing, its lively n loud and very busy. The food is plentiful and nice. I would suggest that if you go for one of the sharing mains dishes (like we did), don't get a starter...unless you haven't eaten for a couple of weeks that is. There is entertainment in the way of a female singer, who to be fair was pretty good, singing lots of tunes everyone knew. There was a belly dancer, who as would be expected got people up joining in with her act. Later on there was a disco which gave everyone the chance to either dance there kebab off or sit and enjoy a few more drinks. It's kind of a one stop shop. Eat, drink, dance and chill. Its a great place for an evening out. Would i go again... definitely. Downside, way too hot in there, and rather on the uncomfortable side. At times while trying to have a conversation whilst having our meal, it was a bit too noisy. Instead of letting half of Monton through the door, maybe limit the numbers a little. That said, i think the evening was...
Read moreThe food was okay. I had Seabas which was good (little oily). I have to say, I think at this price point, a spoon of rocket for side salad doesn’t cut it - especially when other party menu items had more elaborate salad included. The bar staff and waiters were lovely. The manager was very disrespectful and ruined the experience. I asked to pay my portion (along with other guests) early. The manager refused with aggressive attitude. When the final bill came it caused us issues within the party which could have been avoided. This is purely to rack up a total to add on the extra service charge - I have no issue paying this and would have paid extra. There is no reason on earth why individual contributions could have been deducted, they have a modern ePOS system and it takes moments. The managers response of “I have 150 guests I don’t have time to do this for everyone” is simple and invalid. In the USA you often get personal cheques - never mind individual contribution. Very rude. The live singer was excellent tho! Shane...
Read moreMy Partner and I place Eastern Mediterranean food as our favorite cuisine and this resturant is a shinning example of the Genre. The resturant enjoys the support of its community in Monton (i'm from Stockport , my partner the City Centre) and offers them a superior dining experiance of excellent service, live music and a well executed menu. I booked the day before, and we were greeted and promptly seated at a window seat. Again smart , polite attention to order drinks and a suitable pause for us to consider the menu. Houmous with flat bread to share followed by lamb skewers and a mixed grill comprising Lamb chicken kofta and donner meat . Both are served with fresh salad , emphasis on the fresh and rice although we turned down the rice in favour of a litte more salad to reconcile we are supposed to be on a diet. Dinner arrived and was delicious on the eyes and the palate. Thank you La Turka for an exceptional evening . I would gladly recomnend you...
