Came here for a birthday meal and after reading good reviews we thought we’d give it a go. We turned up on time to be told our table wasn’t ready, ok no problem they pointed at the small bar at bottom of stairs and said get yourselves a drink and wait outside please. Ok no problem, went to the bar to be told this isn’t main bar and we’d have to wait….. very confused and no empty seating outside for us to sit so wasn’t the greatest start. We eventually got seated and waited 15 mins before anybody asked us if we’d like a drink. Ordered a cocktail for my partner and a mocktail for my daughter amongst other drinks. 10 mins later my pint and mocktail came the rest would follow, enjoyed the beer it was nice but my daughter who’s 13 was struggling with the drink. What’s up I said and she said I’m sorry The drink isn’t nice, I tried it, they’d gave her the cocktail and now she felt a bit sickly. I entioned to the waiter who I asked twice is this definately the mocktail to which he said yes. Waiter seemed confused to which the manager overheard and explained his mistake, to his waiter, no sorry she ok or can we give you fresh drinks nothing, at this point a good 5 mins later my girlfriend similar looking supposed to be cocktail turned up which was my daughters mocktail. We carried and just hoped the food would make up for the poor service so far. Sadly not, starters were ok nothing to shout about but the mains is were I was most disappointed. We ordered 8 oz ribeye 8oz sirloin, 2 noir house burgers and I got a dry aged bone in prime rib. The food came but sadly the meat was fatty tasting and since I’d paid £45 for a dry aged steak it was bland and tough to cut. My partners steak that cost near £20 less was better tasting. I wasn’t bothered about the cost before I came I just wanted a good steak and an enjoyable evening. I only got that when I left for a bar further up the road. Read moreOur family visited Noir Steakhouse in Monton on Monday, 6th June 2025 to celebrate my son’s birthday, and the whole experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and made to feel completely at ease. The atmosphere was lovely, relaxed, stylish, and perfect for a special family evening.
Our waiter, Manuel, was outstanding. He took the time to present us with the steak offers of the day, tempting us with deals we simply couldn’t refuse. His recommendations were spot on, and his attentive, professional and friendly service really stood out.
A special mention also to the lovely lady who served our steaks she brought them to the table and cut them right in front of us, which added an extra special touch to the whole dining experience.
As for the food perfection. Everything was cooked beautifully and packed with flavour. Credit to the chef, every dish was spot on.

The food was nothing short of spectacular each dish was cooked to perfection, with bold flavors and impeccable presentation that showcased the quality of the ingredients.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was the outstanding service provided by Jay and Burok. Jay was incredibly attentive, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring every detail of our meal was spot-on. ascended. His warm and professional demeanor made us feel like VIPs.
