McDonald's — Restaurant in Salford

Well. It was on the news after lockdown that Mcdonald's was to cut down dramatically on their their staffing levels. And they did. And it shows. And off course they increased their prices too. You used to be able to go to Mcdonald's and know that although you were getting junk food their service was going to be great. But that isn't the case anymore. It's double to triple times the wait for your junk food now (and on this visit the food just never came out to the car after 20 minutes so I had to go in to get my money back and return the food as the icrecream had started to melt). Guys, don't fall for anyone's corporate nonsense anymore. We're talking about a handful of greedy billionaires here that have increased their prices so that they can continue to invest in property. Keep your money in your pocket and it's probably better and healthier to get a sandwich from elsewhere.

Addition 24/8/24. I went to the drive though again with my young daughters today as tey really wanted to. Same thing happened. All I ordered was 2 medium fries and 2 ice-creams and was told to park up again (that's right just for those). I told the server that last time I never got it even after 20 minutes and was told it'll only be a couple of minutes. Waited another 20 minutes today and nothing came out so had to walk in and get my money back....

Two nights in a row bad service. Last night used the drive through paid and approached the next window after 3 minutes someone came to the window and said sorry for the wait it will be a couple of minutes was expecting them to say park in one of the bays but no she just closed the window. Several minutes later whilst watching 3 members of staff play fighting I though my food was ready as a man opens the window to offer me something when he was stopped and advised it was for collection and promptly closed the window on me all you could see was meals going to deliver drivers that were turning up like busses whilst I was waiting in my car. In total 14 minutes from payment to getting my order.

Tonight I ordered the mcspicy meal drove to the window handed over cash when I was handed my change she said sorry we have no £1. Coins 50p’s or 20’s and handed me a stack of 10p’s I replied I could have paid on card if you would have said she just replied sorry and promptly closed the window drove to the next window and again all You can sea is staff messing around behind the counter. All in all Eccles McDonald’s in respect of service is the worst I have...

I popped in for my lunch on my home from work, thinking ill get cheeky happy meal. I was able to do this super easy by using the touch screen order points and selected table service.

I sat down at a clean table and all the other empty tables I could see were empty of mcwrapping and clean.

I didn't wait long and the lovely Tony brought my order over. He asked me if I would like sauce and quickly went to get Mr some as he had nine in his apron. He came back with the BBQ and checked everything was OK with my order and temperature of food.

He was the only staff member I had the pleasure of dealing with on my visit and have to say he made it an enjoyable one.

He level of customer care and service is excellent and he is the kind of staff member that would get you 100% on a mystery shopper.

He gave a little girl some colouring to do as he saw she was getting restless. He helped advise a family how to fo the scan me table service to order. He quickly delt with a customer who wasn't happy with how salty their burger was. All while being calm, polite and friendly.
