Burger Boi (Scott Arms) — Restaurant in Sandwell

Ordered a burger boi, two lots of loaded fries one chicken one beef, some crispy onions, honey wings & fries. The service was very very good, polite, quick, napkins & cutlery provided, all the packaging & cutlery is made from sustainable materials. I had the chicken loaded fries which were really tasty, generous topping but not too much, good balance of flavours and good presentation too. Some things are slightly higher than other eateries in that location but I think you are getting better bigger portions with burger boi & it is fairly priced in that respect. The shop is fresh, clean & welcoming with a contemporary feel, aiming towards gen z but don't let that put you off everyone will find something on the menu they might enjoy. Only thing I was not keen on was the crispy onions weren't so crispy (maybe needed to be cooked in hotter fat) but not worth knocking a star off for and the ice cream machine was out of order, again not their fault & they were very apologetic about it. We will be going back to try other items, hopefully the desserts/milkshakes & will re review. As it stands its definitely worth a punt, the food is made & prepared with care, served fresh & hot, great customer service from the team & very clean...

So when it comes to eating out, I am usually picky about where I am going to eat. But my grandkids wanted to eat here, so I happily joined them. Upon walking in through the door, We were greeted and seated. Cleanliness was not an Issue at all, as the place looked very clean. My grandchildren had made the decisions on what they wanted, and I placed the order for a hatchling boi and a growing boi. We were served by a gentleman called Haz, I believe, who was extremely polite and caring. Now I am vegan, and I am very fussy with food and do not eat from outside as I am never sure how it is prepared. But Haz took his time to explain in detail and step-by-step how the vegan patties are made and handled in the kitchen. He even reassured me that there would be no cross-contamination with chicken or beef. So I took his word for it and ordered the Curious Boi. We waited for around 20 minutes, and our food finally arrived. The burgers were absolutely amazing, and I really enjoyed them. I must say that this will now be my brand new burger place.

My family and I decided to order a burger boi from Uber eats, it’s usually a good choice for us to make but this time will probably be the last. We firstly had to wait over an hour for our order and after paying a high amount of money, we didn’t receive our full order. We called up the burger boi we ordered from (Scott Arms, Great Barr) and asked if we could get the rest of our order and their answer was to put it through on Uber eats again or to come and collect it. When my mom said no to this, as we had already paid the bill and paid for delivery, they then decided to leave the phone on the side and not talk to us to resolve this issue. It eventually turned into a battle of who was going to hang up first. I personally think this was very unprofessional and not the kind of service that we had hoped for. I hope in the future the staff learn how to deal with difficult situations and not run from them. We will NEVER order from here again. And we will NEVER recommend to anyone in the future.
