Impressed, a sports pub so probably very busy on match days but quiet when visited (Wednesday midday), bright and airy lounge, friendly and helpful staff, decent food at a good price with fast service, clean loos but didn't see a disabled loo (but didn't ask), 60 minutes free parking in the car park at the front but be aware that if you stop longer you will be 'fined' £80 unless you pay for extended parking prior to the hour expiring, no sign to tell you about charges near the disabled parking bays, that's the only reason it's lost a star, used by locals which travel by...

I called in and wanted only a quiet sit down and a cup of coffee. I was really impressed. The coffee was excellent and a lovely lady ( Sue ) brought it to my table. So I recovered from my dental appointment with a peaceful half hour in a comfortable armchair watching the world go by. The loos are clean and whilst I don't like bar gaming machines, I know why the pubs have them. 5 stars for the coffee, service and staff, less a star for those machines. I went in for the first time and ordered two ciders one for me and my friend this was the first and only drink I’d had that day I went in for another after I’d finished it and was told I could only have a soft drink as I’d had too michael and seemed drunk.
