Ive a long held affinity with this particular park and it continues to this day. Childhood memories of my parents taking me for summer picnics and all year round duck feeding. I now take my four year old at least a couple of times a week and there remains something enchanting about the place that never fails to hit home. My boy insists upon scrambling through the two caves, we feed the ducks and use the playground - The zip wire is especially fast as we can both testify to. Also worth a mention is the Montana House, though not in the park itself from the lower pool it draws the eye in, and its close proximity to the park makes it somehow integral to visiting the park. Within the context of urban Sandwell it really is a little haven,a sanctuary amid the...

this is a great park and former estate which has a beautiful old red brick house, hence the name red house park. it also has three great playgrounds, one for young children and two for older siblings and teenagers.

It is also the best place for miles around for sledging, the best place is the hill with the princess charlotte memorial on top of it.

There also is two beautiful lakes. one of which has an island with a small folly on it. also at the side of the lake there is a stone tunnel, which is great for kids.

The other lake is a newer lake and does not have any follies but is surrounded by beautiful weeping willows.

The park also has a huge field with several football pitches.

To conclude this review COME TO THIS PARK OR YOU HAVE...

A lovely place to take a walk/roll and just be mindful, but the playground makes it fun for families too.

Paved paths for wobbly wanderers and rolling ramblers though parking is street only and hills may be challenging for some.

It's a shame that some dog owners in the area leave their pets poo on the ground making a shoe check vital before returning to the vehicle or home. With more care and consideration on the part of these dog owners Red House Park would be a less stressful, more enjoyable location to...

Lovely, well maintained park with lots of open space. There is a play park for children to enjoy as well as a basketball court. Loads of open space for dogs to run around and enjoy. The site is also suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs however, it does get quite steep in some areas of the park and so it may be a little difficult for some to access areas. Having said this, there is enough area on flat surfaces and paths to make it enjoyable for all.

This was my childhood park and went back for a nostalgic visit. So pleased to see it has been well maintained and looks better than it did in my day. Happy to see it being well used by families. Good play facilities. Had a crafty go on the zip wire. Can highly recommend the monument hill for sledging should we ever get enough snow.

Nicely undulating, ensuring good views. I was fortunate enough to see a beautiful green parrot like bird, quite possibly been released there. There's a couple of ponds to feed the geese. There's also a small adventure playground here, too. Plenty of friendly folk walking dogs or jogging.
