Well, let me just start warning everyone that the hygiene levels for this place are very questionable.
I went here with family, the place looked nice there were a few people in there and tbh I was looking forward to trying the food.
Everything seemed okay until it wasn’t,
Firstly… sneezing across the kitchen without covering your mouth is vile and yes we could see you (chef in the far back) sneezing without covering your mouth yuk !
Then we had the server WHO thought it was appropriate to get his grubby hands and place them IN MY FOOD THAT I ORDERED to pull out “somethin” and then proceeded to place said plate of food onto our table AFTER he finished rummaging in it. When asked “what did you find in my plate?” He told me “nothing nothing” as he wiped whatever it was onto the server tray.
I told him i am not eating that after he put his hands all over it, he tried leaving the plate on the table i told him again i am not eating that.
Once he took the plate back to the kitchen , he sent it back to the chef (again we can see you in that kitchen), the chef was about to “reheat” said food that had an issues and clearly send it back like it was fresh.
I got up from the table and reported to who i guess was the manager. I told him the situation and requested a refund as i nor the other guests could possibly be eating from there. The manager seemed reluctant to give us a refund which i understand because we only just had starters no mains came out but after again making my point that we wouldn’t feel comfortable eating in his establishment he gave us a refund.
All in all wouldn’t go again.
P.s
You really need to use a blow torch on those chicken lollipops there was feathers...
Read moreMy recent visit to The New Hen & Chickens Bar & Grill was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience.
Let's talk about the food. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the skill and creativity of the chefs. The flavors were bold and vibrant, with every bite leaving me craving more. The mix grill platter was hands down the best I've ever had, featuring perfectly grilled meats bursting with flavor and accompanied by a delightful array of sauces and sides. And the butter chicken? It was simply out of this world - rich, creamy, and bursting with aromatic spices. It's no wonder it's become the talk of the town.
But what truly set this visit apart was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. From their attentive demeanor to their extensive knowledge of the menu, they made me feel like a valued guest from start to finish.
And let's not forget about the ambiance. The restaurant's cozy yet elegant atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. Whether dining solo or with a group of friends, it's the kind of place where you instantly feel at home.
In summary, my latest visit to The New Hen & Chickens Bar & Grill exceeded all expectations. With its delectable food, impeccable service, and inviting atmosphere, it's no wonder this establishment has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. I can't wait to return for another culinary...
Read moreGreat atmosphere nice staff good food and bar. Inexpensive. I eat there 3 times a week. Really good. Disappointed today I forgot my mface mask. Another business profiteering charging £1.00 for a face mask. For an item that costs around 10p. I refused to pay £1.00 but covered my face with my jacket which was accepted. My food an drink bill for myself was £33.00. Hen and chicken do you really need to charge so much for a necessity item. I would have left and you would have lost a £33.00 sale. I WOULD PAY 20P ALLOWING ABOUT 100% PROFIT MARGIN on the face mask. Not very impressed with this hen an chicken you could do much better an improve your service. Perhaps you will rethink this? Rant over. To the food never had a bad meal but always had good meals Great choice on menu and staff are freindly I will carry on using the hen an chickens unless I forget my face mask and I can not pay a fare price.
