Alexandra Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Scotland

Lovely little coffee shop. It doesn't stand out from the street, but it's a real find. The food on display all looks really appetising. There was a selection of freshly made open pies on display and we were happy to find out that several were vegetarian. We chose the mushroom, chestnut and blue cheese pie with salad. It was absolutely delicious. So much so, that we bought another two to takeaway for our evening meal. The cakes all look good as well and we were hard pressed to choose between them, but settled on a strawberry tart and a slice of custard cream cake. They were good choices. We had the worst experience ever in your cafe on the afternoon of the 8th of august.we were greeted by the rudest person we have ever encountered. We were told hope you’re not here for food as kitchen is closed . We then asked for sandwiches that were on display, only for her to say . They are for Cary out only . After our coffee our friends who had just came off the ferry, asked to use the bathroom, and was told NO I’ve just cleaned them . Had travelled from Ireland to meet some friends and we were looking for a cafe for a sandwich & coffee. Went into this cafe about 2.30 and we were met by a lady who had obviously had a long day as she was very impolite and not friendly at all. Had a coffee but felt we were in the way as it was near closing time. Wouldn't recommend at all & maybe some training...
