My friends and I used to visit here regularly however our most recent visit was extremely disappointing. We had booked our table and after 40 minutes were told that they needed the table for another booking. This was the first we been made aware of bookings were for an hour. We hadn’t even managed to order food, only coffee at that point. I’m asking about the policy when we were leaving, we were told that as we had only ordered coffee (we weren’t given the opportunity to order food), they’d booked walk ups and wanted us to leave to free up the table. Extremely disappointed in the service and ended up going to another local tea room for food. After this experience, my friends and I won’t be back as we certainly didn’t feel like valued customers. A real shame. Response I am sorry if you feel the review is unfair however this is an accurate reflection of our experience. For clarity, we have always had a lovely time previously, hence why we have returned so often and why we are so disappointed. Also, I did order a cake initially whilst waiting on the others deciding what we were going to eat collectively. At no point during our seating were we asked if we wanted to order anything further; drinks or otherwise. The only contact we had during our time there was to ask us to vacate the table at 1340 as another booking had been made, after our arrival. We did not see any reason to ask to order food when paying at the till given we had been told the decision had been made to reallocate the table. Had we been told about the limited timings on our arrival, we would have let you know we would be ordering, just not immediately. It is unfortunate that this transpired as it did as it could have been...
Read moreAnother Tilly Tearoom, a charming spot that effortlessly transports you back to the 1960s. The moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm, retro embrace, as if you've stumbled into a time capsule from an era of jukeboxes, milkshakes, and good old rock 'n' roll."
Now, the service, well, it's like they've mastered the art of time travel. Friendly and lightning-fast – my order arrived in precisely 11 minutes and 6 seconds.
I started with scones, and folks, these scones were nothing short of a revelation. Fresh, warm, and bursting with flavor. They put many others I've had to shame.
But then came the chicken and banana sandwich, and it was a bit like the quiet kid in the corner. Plain chicken and bananas with a serious lack of flavor. I couldn't help but wish for a bit of marination to give it some zest.
The best part? The prices. Low and good, a real treat for your wallet. And the menu, it's a treasure trove of options.
So, if you find yourself craving a taste of nostalgia with top-notch scones, Another Tilly Tearoom might just be your ticket to a delicious blast...

There were some interesting options on the menu here, but portions were small for the price paid.
Fentimans lemonade, 7/10, just a bottle of nice pop and a glass, not much else to it.
Bacon and banana toastie + soup, 6/10, the novelty of flavour combo didn't really pay off and my mate who ordered this said he probably wouldn't get it again. Texture of the bacon made it hard to eat proper mouthfuls as the bacon came out all on one go - would have been better with crispy bacon.
Ham and cheese toastie, 6/10, not bad as toasties go, but there wasn't really much else to it.
Overall felt this tea room was charging a bit too much for a bit too little. Nothing special flavour wise, little more than assembled...
