Lovely little pizzeria in Glasgow's West End. We had a great evening with friends, enjoying the wonderfully fresh food. Our party had two vegetarians and we were all satisfied with the variety of food available. It's a small menu but there is an option to make your own pizza for those who are a little less adventurous. This is a diminutive restaurant though, I would suggest making a booking to ensure you get a table. The only reason I haven't given this 5 stars is that none of our party were drinking but we stayed a bit longer as we were catching up and enjoying the company. The staff member working that evening made us feel like we had possibly outstayed our welcome, bringing the bill before we asked, asking us repeatedly if we wanted more drinks despite the fact we still had some etc. I wouldn't have minded this on a busy evening but there were free tables had others come in. It just seemed unnecessary. Hopefully this isn't the...

I had a great experience at Basta, the restaurant itself is easy to find at the bottom of Dumbarton Road and has a lovely interior, full of character which makes it a great place to eat.

The pizza was well cooked, with a good sugo and had generous toppings. We went for option 2 (tomatoes, artichoke, pesto and peppers) and option 5 (olives and capers sans chovies). To drink we went for two bottles of estrella.

I felt the food was reasonably priced with good, quick service. My only thought was the atmosphere was slightly lacking as we were only customers in, but this isn’t the fault of the restaurant. The Neapolitan pizza market in glasgow is very competitive due to the popularity of Paesano, but I’d urge anyone to give Basta a shot as it’s up there quality and flavour wise.

I always like to support local businesses and will...

Great place myself and my partner regularly pop in for pizza in this case we took a group of 14 to celebrate a birthday and the venue handled us with no issues food as always was spot on

Had to edit due to very bad service recieved on return visit Really disappointed ordered pizza for take away some guy called in after I ordered and was then given the pizza I ordered before he then gave me the wrong pizza when I told the owner he completely disagreed until he checked the pizza really really disappointed seeing that the guy who came in seemed like a personal friend so felt like I was brushed off by the staff so they could serve their friend first despite me ordering first and have waited 28 mins+ for pizza massively disappointed the owner did comp the...

After several attempts of trying to eat here, finally managed to get in. On my last visit the place had actually sold out by 8pm, a good sign! I’d go as far to say Glasgow is pretty saturated with Pizza joints these days, so my next comment may be questioned, this is possibly the best pizza I’ve had in Glasgow, yes, you read correctly! So tasty, and the crust was perfection! I went for the number 07; Tomato, Spicy Salami, Roquito Chillies, Mozzarella, and Chilli Oil (Beware!! This isn’t for the faint hearted!) Nice chilled vibe, will be back!

Basta is an amazing surprise. We had a spicy salami and a sausage pizza and they were as close to a traditional italian pizza as you can get. There were some fruit flies which were quite annoying but nothing that could ruin our dinner. Either way, we're not definitely going to be back.
