Bensons Cafe — Restaurant in Scotland

So I have been a returning customer to Benson's for years. I mean years. Consistently good quality appropriately priced food each and every time I have visited. Wheel chair users, welcomed and tables made available. Toilets available in back of restaurant in main concourse of the forge. The staff I hope are very much appreciated by the management of the place because they are all amazing at what they do. How they all function like a well greased cog. Great puddings and this old boy loves their apple pie and custard. Very very clean environment and good visuals of the working kitchen which I appreciate. This place prefers cash as it needs to be saved these days but paying by card is also accepted. Tipe for the staff are accepted also and I appreciate that you don't automatically add a tip to the final bill, it's down to the customers choice to give a tip or not. Haven't been in Benson for ages and it will be a while before we go back, sign outside saying "wait here to be seated" people just walking in, in front of those waiting got table sat down took coat off put it back on,place was very cold think they had the air conditioning on, ordered 2 beefburgers and 2 cola, and waited, you can see the kitchen staff working which I liked and the meals were getting prepared fast, saw our burgers getting put on the shelf waiting for the waitress to bring it over then saw them taking it away they did this a second time them on the third they served us. When I asked the waitress what was wrong she tolls me it was because they had put cheese on them first time and the second it was because there was still cheese on the bin so they change the bun. The burger was nothing special if anything it was tasteless and overcooked and definitely not...

Benson Cafe is a gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our waitress, Jodi, was outstanding—attentive, polite, and genuinely helpful, making sure we had everything we needed.

I ordered the Classic Chicken sub, and it was absolutely brilliant. Though the portion was on the smaller side, the flavors were spot on, and it was just the right amount to satisfy without feeling too heavy. Every bite was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. Amanda was lovely and made sure that we enjoyed the meal, you can definitely feel that the staff actually care about service and that's apart of the warm welcome.

The cafe itself is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a quality meal. With excellent service and tasty food, Benson Cafe is definitely a place I’d visit again....
