McChans — Restaurant in Scotland

Absolutely disgusted I went there and was told to go away and leave the restaurant because I had my Down syndrome brother with me. He was making a little of noise which people around understood his disability but the lady behind the counter came over and asked us to leave and said she would put our food into a container. I told her it’s fine we don’t need a container. But as we didn’t want to now eat the food after being made to feel embarrassed I told her it’s fine we are now finished. I already paid for the food and my brother was upset. A nice couple sitting down from us said to the lady that my brother wasnt causing any disturbance and that they would also never return even though they eat there and enjoy the food there if that’s how they operate their restaurant. The lady just responded with okay leave thank you. I took my brother away and left at this point as I didn’t want to engage in any arguments that would upset my brother more. As we were leaving she was shouting “no come back okay!” As we were walking along the couple caught up with us and said the lady told him that my brother shouldn’t be eating out in restaurants as he can’t stop being a fool. I went back to the restaurant at 4pm with my sister and asked why this had happened and they just said they can’t remember and if I’m not buying food I need to leave. I do understand my brother may be a little loud but it’s not his fault and the sad thing is he was crying all the way home and saying sorry. Just shocked with the attitude shown. As for the food I had a a few bites of the salt and pepper chicken and the rice with curry sauce and it actually seemed really nice. Just a shame for the attitude. I usually just order Chinese. That was my first time sitting down in a restaurant all I can say is I hope all Chinese restaurants...

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at this Chinese restaurant. The food was a complete letdown, far from authentic Chinese cuisine. Every dish was excessively sweet, almost like a dessert, and some items were even burnt, which ruined the taste entirely.

To make matters worse, shortly after eating, I experienced severe diarrhea, which made the whole experience even more regrettable. With so many other excellent Chinese takeaways available, I strongly advise you to save your money and dine elsewhere. This place is simply not worth it.

Staff doesn’t speak English so there’s no way to make complaints.

These chowmine like 50p instant noodles are the worst. Sauce is extremely red with tons of sugar. Funny cashews on the top just to show that I ordered...

The portions are very generous and good value for money especially if you get the lunch meal deal. This is one of the best Chinese meals I've ever had! The only let down was the service. Instructions weren't clear or prices to add extras. At the till the staff said "would you like a drink with that" without saying how much it was to add a drink. We ordered and the staff didn't say "we will serve you at a table" so we awkwardly stood there. The food was served very quickly. The restaurant aesthetics could definitely be abit nicer, and drinks shouldn't be £1 to refill as they are quite watered...
