Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Scotland

Never ever again will I give my custom to this place. Stood waiting 35 mins to be served.I stood watching two staff gossiping away with another female who I was later told was their manager. They were either wearing their masks under their noses or under their chin. Behind the counter two staff a male and female, were working flat out. After I paid was told I’d have to take a seat as an Uber order had came in. I returned to my seat, waited a few minutes and decided that I wasn’t waiting any longer went back up to see how long it works be now we’re close on 45 mins. The machine had burst a leak and I was told oh you need to wait this has happened. That was it, I asked for a refund. If you want to have a coffee there order by Uber they get priority over customers standing in the queue. The staff were not the least bit helpful and shame on the manger for standing gossiping about some other female!! Another make customer and friend also left. Much nicer cafe just further up. Great...

We went into Costa at the Forge a month ago we purchased a toasted teacake and was given 1 portion of butter and advised that if we needed more butter then it would cost us an additional 10 pence, this is ridiculous as the teacake already comes in two halves and one portion of butter cannot cover both sides I felt like Oliver Twist having to ask for more from the Beadle. Since then We have visited 4 other Costa stores and they rightly supply 2 portions of butter. We were in the Forge Costa again today and the Manager insisted that Head Office had informed all Branches that it was only 1 portion of butter per Teacake, I told him to keep his Teacake which was already in the Toaster and ordered something else. It is not the 10 pence its the principal , I feel that I will be taking my custom elsewhere which is a pity as I love...

Staff have a stinking attitude apart from the manager! When the manager is not there the staff are rude and seem like they can’t be bothered! Wasnt asked if I was sitting in, Natalie wasn’t happy to be serving me this morning! Just papped my pasty in a paper bag and my coffee was getting made in a take way cup! When I kindly said I’m sitting in they rolled their eyes as if I asked them for a kidney! Actual joke! The staff in the forge need to go into Glasgow Fort and get some training of the staff in their as the customer service in the fort is 10/10! If there was a 0 star rating that’s what I would rate costa forge Parkhead!
