Cafe Roma — Restaurant in Scotland

I bought a roll in bacon egg haggis and scone cost me £7.90! When a breakfast was less than that....i think i was just charged literally by the single or double roll! SO WHERES MY EMPTY ROLLS 😆

ALL funnyness aside now

Im hoping these people just made a mistake or someone didnt wash there hands or whatever...

But i hadnt eat that morning was totally fine had walked around for a good while,the minute i got half way into the roll i was feeling quite bad in my stomach 🤒 Then ten mins later i was violently sick...ive never in my life experienced this with food it was as if my body just rejected it or whatver was in it....

I bearly made it home i was so ill after,then for literally 8 days sickness and constantly on the toilet literally lost 3/4 of a stone in 8 days the doctor said it was food poisoning

She couldnt comment for sure but most likely someone not washing hands after a poo..

I wouldn't have left this review but the way i see it is what if my elderly father was with me (he should have been but had an appointment....see if what happened to me happened to my dad it could have killed him. I cant put into words how ill i was And i can say without a doubt it was what i eat here on that day As i had nothing before or after at all...to be honest i was unable to keep anything down for days

It really is a petty because the staff are really nice

As i say if this happened to a frail elderly person that could have been a death sentince and nobody would have been any the wiser just put down to age or fragility

And when i seen older people do go in there its worrying

My suggestion Have hand washing more regular

Clean windows on inside especially the flys on the menu on window

Absolutely horrendous experience. Kids meal was a burger and fries for £5, that didn't include a drink. Burger was dry and fries were dripping with grease. Panini was solid at the bottom and very bland. The salad felt like it was swimming in pepper and oil, that's not a salad dressing. Drinks glasses were warm and Drinks aren't kept cold especially in this heat. The toilets had no soap, dirty floors and smelled terrible. The female toilets had nothing to dry their hands with. There's damp or wet patches on the ceiling where food is consumed next to the camera. Staff didn't listen to order properly and forgot an item on a small order, she didn't have a notepad to take the order and her memory let her down. Very over priced for what it's meant to be. Aulds was never like this and the take over isn't much to be desired. I wouldn't waste your money. Staff definitely don't seem very friendly or family friendly. They have somewhat of an attitude when it came to serving tables, not just our own. We heard numerous complaints from other tables. This needs to be addressed. Staff didn't ask about allergies or dietary requirements and the worst part of it all was the chef was scratching and not washing his hands. I can't say we'll be back. It's such a let down considering there's not many places to eat...

Staff were attentive. Meal was tasty and portions plentiful. Real value for money. I ordered a mushroom omelette. I thought I would have got omelette and toast but no, I got large omelette filled with mushrooms, fries, salad and coleslaw. Couldn't eat it all, mores the pity, as I hate wasting food. If I'd known in advance I was getting all that I'd have stated just omelette and toast. However that's my mistake not the cafe's. I would highly recommend this café.
