From the moment we walked in, this restaurant set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The atmosphere struck a perfect balance between elegance and warmth, with staff who made us feel genuinely welcome from the very first greeting. Service throughout the night was impeccable – attentive without being intrusive, and always delivered with a friendly professionalism that made the experience even more enjoyable. The food, however, was the true star of the evening. Every dish was prepared with remarkable attention to detail, showcasing not only skill in the kitchen but also a deep respect for ingredients. We began with the scallops, seared to perfection with a golden crust and served in a rich, flavorful sauce accented with delicate pearls of roe – a dish that was both visually stunning and bursting with freshness. The mains were equally impressive. The lamb chops were tender, juicy, and perfectly pink inside, paired with a fresh bed of greens and a rich, flavorful jus. The fillet steak was melt-in-the-mouth tender, cooked exactly to order, and elevated by a silky herb butter and vibrant greens. The duck breast was another standout – perfectly crisp skin, succulent meat, and a beautifully balanced combination of sweet and earthy flavors from the beetroot and sauce. Side dishes were far more than an afterthought. The truffle parmesan fries were indulgent and addictive, with the right balance of crisp texture and rich flavor. The baby carrots were sweet and aromatic, complemented by a delicate seasoning, while the creamy potato salad with fresh herbs added a refreshing contrast. Dessert was the perfect closing note – a refined presentation of smooth vanilla ice cream, rich chocolate, and delicate textures that satisfied without overwhelming. The wine list was carefully curated, and our selection paired beautifully with every course, enhancing the flavors without overpowering them. This is more than just a place to eat – it’s a dining experience that celebrates flavor, presentation, and service in equal measure. For anyone who appreciates exceptional food and hospitality, this restaurant is a must-visit.

I decided to try Cameron Grill as it appeared to be an upscale and promising spot. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing on multiple fronts. The service was painfully slow—our food took nearly an hour to arrive, and when the soup was finally served, I had to request a spoon. The quality of the food was far below expectations: most dishes were either bland, overly oily, or simply unappetizing. My children were exhausted by the time their meals finally arrived—an unacceptable 75 minutes after we had placed our order. To make matters worse, one of their meals was missing altogether, yet we were still charged for a full three-course set. In the end, the manager did attempt to make amends by removing one item from the bill. However, by that point, the experience had already been soured beyond repair. Disappointing from start to finish—I won’t be returning.

Such a wonderful place to dine for a special night away. The hotel is beautiful. We had a few drinks on the terrace of the great Scot’s bar taking in the beauty of the surrounding area before dinner in the grill. We both had the scallops and the rib eye steak. I have to say the steak was genuinely the best we have ever tasted. We thought our favourite specialist steakhouse was hard to beat but this really did. Fabulous quality and seasoned and cooked to perfection. Breakfast the next day was busy but the staff coped with demand effortlessly. The selection was fabulous and again, great quality ingredients. We can’t wait to return again. Thank you.

The inside is lovely and the decor and ambience are enjoyable. The food was average at best and quite expensive for average quality.

Our waitress however was not great. She was obviously trying to get us to order more and more food so we would spend more money, which was uncomfortable. I’m glad we didn’t take her advice as what we ordered was more than enough for us. Our food took over an hour to get to us and while we were waiting she kept coming over to us asking if everything was ok with our food. I kept having to say, it hasn’t arrived and clearly we aren’t eating. In the end we asked another waiter to chase our food order and he then brought to our over an hour later. We ordered the steak medium and it was very much medium rare. The sides were decent quality and good portions.

The bread to start, is an absolute waste of money. It was just a normal slice of bread that hadn’t even been warmed. They had run out of their usual bread rolls so were slicing up normal bread and hoping customers wouldn’t notice. When we highlighted this, they removed the...
