Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Scotland

Terrible experience again at this Costa. They always always close things down way before closing time. Chairs on tables, no hot food sometimes from just after 4pm and they close at 6pm! They don't allow you through the back from about 4.45pm and so there's only 2 tables. Everything in is take away cups cause they just want to get everything cleaned up whilst they are meant to be open so they can leave as quickly as possible. A couple of times the door has even been locked 20 mins before closing time and when I went to it, it was reluctantly opened. When I asked why they were closed they just shrugged shoulders! Most staff (all the younger ones) are rude, no manners at all. You feel like an inconvenience every time you go in here. The only reason they get the custom is because there is so little choice in Peebles, but quite frankly Costa should be thoroughly ashamed of this branch. I've never been to another...

This place has went downhill fast, since the last manger has left, the staff are so rude and not got any respect for customers, no customers service at all. The toilets are disgusting 🤢 no soap and not been cleaned in a while The girls are so rude should not be allowed to work in customer service jobs as can’t say a (thank you) it go a long way and should not need to be told to say it The seat are ripped and tables not wiped down I asked for cream for my coffee and the girl behind the counter, said they don’t have cream and wouldn’t have a look as I asked, she just said they don’t have any, then a young man came over and said they have do cream it was in the fridge, They was no apology from the girl just a bad attitude after as she was in the wrong, Then she over charged me for 2 coffees then went in a mood when she had to sort it out.

The coffee is nice, relatively clean. I haven't been in for a while, I usually come into the shop on my mobility scooter which is not ideal. It says it has a disabled access entrance it does not. There is a sml step in which I cannot get over in my electric wheelchair. I have asked for a ramp to be put outside for disabled customers, not heard anything back. So very disappointed in this. So unless I go into the shop in my scooter which takes up a lot of room I can't get in!!! There is a huge step round the back of the shop which should have been ramped. This shop was completely refurbished only a few yrs ago. Disabled people...
