One of the strangest restaurant experiences I’ve ever had, and would absolutely recommend going there, and would go back.
We had called ahead to book a table and when we arrived were met with a rope across the door - like getting into a popular nightclub. We were shown upstairs to our table - the decor and the music was a bit kitsch but we loved it.
The staff upstairs communicate via walkie - talkies which was amusing, it was like a military operation. But to be fair to them they were very efficient and attentive. So, fancying Italian food for a change, we had a quiet dinner at Devita’s for the first time last night to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The food was excellent, service was exceptional and prices were very fair indeed. We only wish we had discovered this restaurant sooner, as we learned last night that the current owners are retiring and the property and business are up for sale. The staff were attentive, friendly and anything I asked for. The food wasn’t rushed out to me and a nice amount of time between my starter, Jalapeño Toppers (yummy) and my main, Mexican Pizza, which was just the right size and also full of flavour and fresh vegetables.
