Wick Fish and Chicken Bar — Restaurant in Scotland

I have to be totally honest, I was not expecting my fish & chips to taste so good, but they did. The chips were nice like chips from the chippy should be. The fish was large and chunky in a light crisp batter. I tried the so called best fish & chip shop in the North of Scotland last week, and it was disgusting. Tonight my partner treated me to fish & chips from Suprems in Bridge Street, Wick, in my opinion they are the best fish & chips not only in Wick, but in the North of Scotland! We will be back now that I have finally found a great fish & chip shop. Keep up the good work guys. Edit 28th July 2022 I have now tried the nan kebabs, I have to say, they are the best lamb tikka and chicken tikka kebabs I have tasted. Supreme is the best fish bar and fast food I have been to in a very long time, worth moving from Glencoe to Cairhness for 😀. The quality has been top notch over at least 7 visits now. And the staff are always friendly and helpful. We ordered two sausage suppers and back home and most places we visit a sausage suppers is two plain sausages these were in batter; we don’t say anything as we just assumed it’s how they do a sausage supper in Wick.

Food came out promptly and as we were eating in they were served on a plate.

The sausages were ok and it looked like a lot of chips but the chips were either rubbery or just scraps.

There was a steady flow of people, obviously popular with the locals.

The thing that concerns me the most is the level of hygiene. I watched a member of staff scratch his head and then pick up raw hamburgers and place them on the grill he then carried on doing other stuff and then picked up slices of cheese and placed them on the burgers and then finished the order by adding chips. At no point did he have on any gloves nor did he wash his hands in between handling raw meat and...

By far the worst food I’ve ever seen in my life. Staff don’t know the difference between a macaroni pie and a mince pie but would have the cheek to stand and argue with my friend that it was a mince pie at they offered him the driest kebab meat in the world to to replace said pie “it as like eating one of big Senga’s flip flops” his words not mine. Now that brings me to my haggis ooooft is the first time I’ve had a medium rare haggis I thought Bobby fae still game had cooked it in the clan’s microwave cause it was red hot on the out side and frozen in the middle.
