Dnisi — Restaurant in Scotland

I couldn't eat my eggs benefict. The muffin hadn't been toasted, the poached eggs were more like 2 boiled eggs, and the bacon was missing ( which is what I first noticed. )When the girl went to get some bacon , I then noticed how the muffins and eggs were, so I decided I just wanted a refund. The girls did offer to re do the food, but I was put off by then. I gave 2 stars based on the food that I received and the wrap my friend had. She did enjoy her wrap and said it was tasty, but there was not a lot of filling in it . The girls were helpful enough . Perhaps it was too busy for the person cooking, or they needed more training ? We left and got something for me to eat at another establishment, but we did return later for coffee and cake. They had a lovely selection of cakes. The cafe is a lovely place to come for coffee and cake or a light lunch. It was just unfortunate that my breakfast had been so badly made on...

Was recommended to try this cafe. On reflection I wish I'd gone to McDonald's. I ordered the House Breakfast and my partner ordered the "Poachers" Royale. To say I was disappointed in the food is an understatement. Cold baked beans, bacon that was more fat than meat and had been cooked just long enough to colour the meat. Toast which was still soft enough that when I tried to butter it the knife went through it. As for the "Poachers", poached eggs should have runny yolks, these were processed "boiled" eggs with hard centers. The hollandaise was obviously from a jar or tub as it had no flavour. I just want to say a huge thank you to the staff at the Dnisi in Bathgate. We are pretty regular at this cafe and have always been greeted and taken care of by the nicest staff. Today, they went above and beyond. When my partner had a panic attack and left suddenly to sit outside, a member of staff actually came outside to check on us and gave my partner some water. I went back in to grab my coat and they checked with me to make sure they were alright and I didn’t leave without the box of scones they kindly left behind the counter for us. I cannot thank the staff enough for being so kind...
