Rubbals Takeaway — Restaurant in Scotland

Was at an event over the weekend and looked for places to grab food throughout. This place popped up on Just eat and it was two minutes up the road. So I took a punt. Walking up to it I started to think "Oh dear" but never judge a book by it's cover, the reviews seemed to be good overall, so I went for it. Friday evening, munchy box. Donner was ace, quite herby, not greasy or grisly. Pakora was bang on too, nicely cooked again not greasy, donner pakora was a nice surprise. Plenty of places mess up cooking chips of all things, boom nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Due to what I seen the burgers looking like on Friday, I went for one on Saturday. Again spot on, nice char on the outside, juicy on the inside. Bun wasn't stale or dry. Honestly just spot on.

Only thing as mentioned earlier is when walking up to it you think "oh dear". Not sure if they're new and will be working on a lick of paint at some point or not though but that's the only thing I'd say was "wrong".

Staff were friendly too, remembered me from the Friday and asked how my food was.

Also, if you miss the "real" tasting Pepsi instead of the sweetener filled rubbish we get now, see these guys! Heh Heh

I know this is a big review for a wee takeaway but I have to give credit where...

Ordered on just eat wanted Lamb madras, Had to pick between,chicken, chicken tikka or paneer, not much of an option, as no lamb! Curry is here ,and I'm sorry guys that is not a madras, doesn't taste like madras not the colour of madras, and the tub is an inch thick in oil !!! Worst curry I've ever experienced ,I am afghan ,so not happy I'm afraid, can't just pass anything off as madras, I'm a curry fiend ,and I know my bhuna from my puri and madras from my goan. Called the shop after considering how much I didn't want to offend anyone,but was really hungry , So called ,moaned and I had a lovely gentleman who said okay ,I'll make you a curry, no chef nothing ,I'll do it . Curry is here , and wow wow wow , I've went from the worst to the best I've ever tasted , my granny khan couldn't make a better one. So to the kind man who made me the curry! Ordered tonight got a king-size doner meat and chips. The kebab meat was like plastic and the chips were very dry (reheated) I called and was told that it has been the same food/ supplier for 2 years (Not true) I was a very good customer long ago when there food was good but now it is awful the kebab meat smelled like dog breath!! .. I phoned and complained and told I would get a refund.. after an hour and a half the woman delivery driver came to my door and took the delivery money from it. Won't be delivering again she was also very rude. Asked for the food back which I was happy to give her but it was in the blue bin which it was in so she opened it but because it was at the bottom she didn't take it. The man told me on the phone just to bin the food. She just told me she was going home . Will never deliver from here again and neither should you .. terrible food and also terrible...
