Went to visit this place for coffee and some nice food while exploring Alloa, unfortunately it was disappointing to say the least. We got toasties and 3 cappuccinos. The wedges that come with the toasties were cold and uncooked, coslaw and salad were not fresh, maybe coslaw is shop bought and clearly not the highest quality either. Their cappuccinos which costs £3.95 comes with one shot of coffee, would be nice to know that in advance so I’m not paying for overheated milk and 1 shot of coffee. It was added on after I’ve asked as I couldn’t taste any coffee but it just ruins the whole experience of having a decent cup of coffee ☕️.Would definetely not recommend or come back here. Also please remove the massive red bin in front of the cafe with the chairs outside, it’s just not inviting.

I had a poor visit here today. I usually come in for a scone, etc, but had warm food today for the first time. I ordered the Bao Buns. They looked the part (as shown in picture). But, they were very poor. In fact, the bottom of the buns were rock hard (cold, obv still frozen or similar), so I had to send them back. But the same plate (rather than a new one cooked properly) was returned to me having been reheated a bit more. I had to leave most of the bao bun as they were just so dry (previously hard). Similarly, the chicken was overcooked and dry. I will return and hope it was a one off. But likely won't order the bao buns again.

Lovely wee Coffee Shop & Eaterie in the heart of Alloa High Street. We visited Alloa Tower and were recommended this place by the volunteers. It is a independent coffee shop with around 20 tables and some with comfy leather sofas. For 4 large drinks (coffee, frappiechino and smoothies) plus two cakes it came to £23, a little bit expensive for our tastes but the quality was excellent and couldn't fault it. The staff were great and happily made a replacement drink after a mix up. Toilets were nice and clean for the end of the day. Highly recommend this place and will certainly go back if we are the area. 😁👍

I initially gave Dnisi in Alloa a 5-star review 11 months ago because the food, drink and service were all great. However, I've downrated my review to only 2 stars because I was disappointed on my last few visits. The salad was brown and wilted and the servings of coleslaw were very stingy - about a teaspoon! It is coleslaw made from cabbage and carrots so not a high value item so I cannot understand why they cannot be a bit more generous with it. The coffee wasn't great either. My wife's cappuccino was devoid of foam - it was a milky coffee that was spilled as it was delivered with no apology or attempt to resolve the problem. My latte actually had more foam than her drink! The service was slow and disinterested. On another occasion we sat down and having spent some time reading the menu we went to place our order only to be told that the kitchen was closed and they could only do sandwiches. If so either remove the menus or tell customers as soon as they enter so they don't waste time. Come on Dnisi, you could do much better than this before so please give some attention to detail and get...

Dnisi's have a good selection of food for lunches, and an even better selection of cakes. Their coffee is outstanding. However, their prices are smidge higher than other places.

When I first visited Dnisi I was disappointed by the long wait times, but noted great food and atmosphere.

During my most recent visit staff were far more attentive and our food arrived in a very satisfactory time. The latte I had was one of the best I have had recently and it felt worth the minor price increase over competitors.

I have improved my rating to match one good experience one bad. Judging by the way the staff get on with the customers (knowing many by first name), I suspect my previous bad experience was an...
