I’ve been lucky enough to be introduced to this fantastic place over five years ago and have been a regular since, sometimes visiting multiple times each week before work and with my colleagues.

But this place is best enjoyed in my own personal time. It’s more than a cafe; it’s a community.

But that can only be achieved because they have all the basics right: price, quality, range and people.

Their staff are the most engaged, motivated, accommodating and humble folk you could ever wish to meet in a cafe.

There’s a buzz because of this and people keep coming back.

It’s a welcoming, clean and pleasant experience.

It’s like a “local”: your name and face become known and they make you feel important, cared for and considered. On many occasions I’ve been asked if I would like my food tweaked in a way that will allow me to enjoy it more.

I can honestly say that I have come to love this place over the years.

And the most encouraging thing is that you don’t see a decline in standards over time.

To the contrary! This place is going from strength to strength and I love how the team all pull together to continuously give the best possible experience. There’s nothing contrived about it though because it’s coming from a genuine place of integrity.

All I can say is thank you for every positive experience I have had.

Can you believe this is a review for a cafe?

That’s what makes it the best cafe in Scotland!

If here’s somewhere better I want to...

Service in this place is ridiculous there seems to be zero organisation! I walked in and went straight to the till to order stood and waited and waited the place wasn't busy. A man and woman walked in but walked towards the sit-in area a girl went straight up to them and asked if they were sitting in and sat them at a table. Continued to wait, another girl comes out and hands out someone's order she asked me "do you need to be charged up" I replied "no 1 has taken my order yet". That girl walked away. Still standing waiting. 2 girls start whispering to each other point at 2 men that were about to walk in, they walk in and 1 of the girls walk straight over "what can I get you?" While I was standing there being completely ignored so I just walked out and went elsewhere. Absolutely terrible service and won't be back this isn't the 1st time I've been annoyed by the service from here but today...

What an incredible little cafe! Came here with two friends, as an English couple getting to experience a proper Scottish breakfast and dare I say, it's better than an English breakfast!

Arrived about 0930 and the place was buzzing, everything freshly cooked, people arriving to eat or for take out and welcoming.

We had a full Scottish breakfast with haggis and salt and chilli hash browns. As a first time experience of haggis... its to die for! Full of flavour. The Scottish black pudding absolutely beats English too. I'm a convert! If only the cafe wasn't so far away from home near London.

Couldn't recommend this place more, food was amazing, service was great and a friendly cafe which always seems busy. Hopefully...

Elderslie Coffee Shop represents the essence of local charm, where every meal is crafted with care and served with a smile, making it a must-visit destination for anyone in the area. In fact, even people outside the area, if they are travelling past, will stop in. The takeaway from the cafe does a roaring trade. Quite recently its had a bit of a 'makeover' and the cafe has been "rejigged" and now has more tables. However, its basic physics, more tables means more bums on seats, and there's never a shortage of people wanting a good meal, or terrific breakfast. I could witter on, but you get the jist .... plus remember to visit the butchers next door 😋

Wanted somewhere fairly close to the airport after getting off an overnight flight before heading to the Auchentoshan Distillery. Did research beforehand so we weren't wasting time on landing. Went here based on the reviews and it did not disappoint! Very friendl, excellent food -we had a full Scottish breakfast. Speedy service and pay at the counter on the way out which was exactly what we needed. Thank you!
