I was absolutely delighted to visit here with my mother-in-law. She recommended the place as she has been before and loved it.

The man serving us (who I believe was the owner) was all too lovely, and we were well attended.

The food was delicious, and I recommend ordering a portion of their homemade onion rings, they're huge and scrumptious.

There is a takeaway area as most chip shops have, but it's separate to the dining area so it's not noisy.

The toilets are clean and what you should expect from an establishment.

They have a special sauce that is mildly spicy and it was delicious.

They keep a stock of ice cream tubs from the local ice cream shop which I thought was a nice touch that they support local businesses as a local business themselves.

I will definitely return, I've already told many people to go there when they visit...

I'm not a habitual reviewer, but Finday's is worthy of comment. Other establishments may serve up fish and chips, but I doubt any are as good as this place. Very friendly, accommodating and attentive service. Locally caught fresh fish cooked to perfection - as are the chips. Different sized portions are available to suit all appetites. Choice of breaded or battered fish. I normally don't care for battered fish as it can be a bit 'stodgy'. At Findlay's however, the batter is a lovely light coating which enhances the flavour of the fish rather than overwhelming it. The breaded option is equally tasty. If you are in the area, visit here and treat yourself to some of the best fish and...

Interesting chip shop with a very quirky menu, had some very new experiences in there which the staff were helpful in explaining to me what they were, you have to pay extra to sit inside which is fine if you don't mind paying a bit extra but can sit outside for free. Staff were friendly and nicely decorated environment. Chips weren't the best and the curry sauce wasn't what i expected but was very unique. The best play was the battered baby bell with the salad, wasnt keen on the white pudding but cannot give a review of that since i haven't tried it before, same with the red pudding, but the black pudding and haggis was great. Overall...

Deservedly in my top 3 fish n chips in the UK... Findlay’s excels in providing some of the tastiest grub a weary traveller can get. Fraserburgh is a long way from most places but the freshest and tastiest fish in thin crisp batter resonates on your palette for hours after and is so worth the wait. Great chips not powdery and cooked to perfection... Although the sit in restaurant maybe closed due to the pandemic... A short walk away you can sit and eat overlooking the beautiful coastline..

Had a meal here tonight and I've got to say it was just fantastic. I had the breaded Jumbo Haddock, chips, peas and curry sauce - for pudding I had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. The fish was so fresh, cooked to perfection (Not over cooked) and the chips were the best I've had for a good few years. The sticky toffee pudding was so good. The service was excellent and very attentive. Would definitely recommend a meal here.
