Wimpy — Restaurant in Scotland

Our visit was born out of Nostalgic Recollections.

I wasn't disappointed, I ordered a 1/4lb burger meal and it's definitely the best fast food I've had in years.

The burger was plump and Juicy the luttuce was fresh and crispy and the wholemeal bun was firm and held its shape, the fries were hot and crispy and all served on a plate.

There are only 3 in Scotland and this was worth the near 200 mile journey to visit

The restaurant is nostalgically dated but spotlessly clean the staff were really attentive and friendly and for a Thursday afternoon it had about 20 customers.

Fraserburgh Wimpy is in a handy central location adjacent to the bus station. The young table staff were keen and polite and the food was served in good time. Criticism, though, is the dried up sausage that had spent far too long on the hotplate. Also I asked if items on the set breakfast could be swapped for others, when I received my receipt, I had been charged full price for the breakfast PLUS the two items that were replacement!? (I should have had that clarified) One of the replacement items was a dried up sausage mentioned above. Takes me back to my childhood when Wimpy was everywhere and was a nice treat to try it again. The food was fresh and tasty. Slightly more expensive than comparable fast food restaurants but better quality than those so worth paying extra. The young staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant was kept extremely clean and tidy especially with the number of customers in and out. Its not often these days that I find myself commenting on really good service/hospitality skills but this team should be really proud of themselves.
