I wanted to give it an honest chance despite reading some negative reviews but unfortunately I have to agree with the less positive ones . The bakery is lovely and they have some good products but the service comparing to some other places in Pittenweem is very poorly and not welcoming . If I wouldn't have said goodmorning and have a good day I wouldn't have one. The lady behind the counter seemed to be so fed up with her job and was gasping all the time behind the till . I wanted to taste some scones and wanted to see for myself if it was so bad but I won't be back again and I definitely prefer to stop by The Clocktower cafe were they were super friendly and helpful . Oh dear, unfortunately Barnetts appear to have a monopoly on the bakery business in the East Neuk. The service in the Pittenweem shop was atrocious, rude, thankless and verging on aggressive ... I thought it could not be worse than the service from the Anstruther shop (but that's another story). It wouldn't be so bad if the product was okay. But don't worry, filled rolls and fresh sandwiches are available from The Clock Tower cafe and rolls are available from the Pittenweem Hub. ...
