My Wife, Son & I dined at the Dory on Sunday night ( we've been many times over the years for lunch & supper ) As always everything from start to finish was utterly outstanding in every way.
The lovely Lady who greeted us & took care of us was a fantastic person with a clear love of the business / food & dealing with people, not easy to find in this day & age. What a difference it makes to have such a kind & caring person in a very busy High end Restaurant!..
The food & service were perfection. Asparagus starter & the beautiful bread / Olives and Oil were heavenly!.
Mains, goodness me!, to die for.. Mackerel / Hake & the roast beef, utterly exceptional.
Desert - 3 x Chocolate slices & creme fresh, completely devine!.
I have to say the bill was much less than i thought it would be for such a stunning fine dining experience overlooking the Beautiful Harbour of Pittenweem.
The Dory Bistro is exceptional, ( there is no better in the UK or France )

Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at The Dory , a charming seafood restaurant located in the heart of Pittenweem. This was my second visit.
The restaurant's interior was tastefully decorated with local and talented artists. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and soothing background music set the stage for a delightful dining experience. The knowledgeable and friendly staff were more than happy to offer recommendations and provide insights into the preparation of each dish on the menu.
Aside from the outstanding food, the service was impeccable. The waitstaff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience.

Read moreWe came here for lunch on a Sunday and it was a very pleasant surprise after somewhere else fell through! The salt and pepper squid starter was beautiful, and cooked to perfection. There was a light dusting on it, and thankfully not covered in batter. It came with a lovely aioli, that wasn’t overpowering. The oysters were fresh and also came with a tasty dressing. We had Monkfish and classic fish and chips for mains, both of which were delicious, and reasonably priced, particularly the Monkfish (albeit a tad on the small side). The batter on the fish and chips was light and crispy and the haddock itself was very well cooked. I will definitely be back here again in the future!
Edit: we came back again recently and this time we got the Sunday roast and the Hake. It was just as good...
