So completely and utterly disappointed with tonight’s meal. We have been loyal Goa customers for a very long time. We often order take away, come in for meals and buy vouchers for family members. Ordered our takeaway tonight and my husband drove the 20 minutes from our home to collect it. He arrived home and we found there were items missing. Chips, salad etc We called to advise and were asked if we could come back for them. We said we could but we live 20 minutes away so asked if a fresh curry could be prepared as the original one would be freezing and 40 minutes old by the time we came back home. The man who we spoke to on the phone had a really terrible and argumentative attitude. They point blank refused to provide fresh curries - despite the fact this was their mistake. We were given 2 options - come and pick up the chips and other items we had paid for but they had forgotten and come back to a cold old curry or pay £30 for a curry and eat it with half it missing ?! Basically like it or lump it. Mistakes happen, that is not an issue but as a business you should rectify it. We will not be back. Years of loyalty to be treated like that. Awful. Goa Indian Restaurant at Broughty Ferry has a really nice ambience. It can get busy, even on weekdays, so sometimes you might have to wait a bit to finish your meal, but it’s usually worth it. The food is generally very good and reasonably priced. All the staff are humble and welcoming, making you feel comfortable throughout your visit. There’s a charming guy working there who’s from Bangalore — it’s always nice to see friendly faces like his.
